It may help them esp. if they have never been here or haven't been her in awhile (like a couple of years). It shows immigration that they're here for a specific purpose, and that the intention is to only be here temporarily. HTH!
If you don't want to do invitations yet, maybe consider a save-the-date for your overseas guests?
smartl's suggestion is very good. It does help them get their visas because it shows what the intent of the trip is for.
For some reason, my parents think there's a form that I have to fill out (and provide income info) in order for relatives to fly in from Vietnam. Has anyone heard of this?

There will be guests coming from Asia and my mom just told me to print out invitations now (the wedding is not until next June) so that it'll be easier for them to get their visas. Is it true that having an invitation will ease the process of obtaining a visa?
