I stayed at that hotel loved it!… there is a citypass that you can get for about 80 dollars per adult and its gets you vip  access to 5- 6 museums… Definitley worth it!.

MUST SEE places are the

Museum of science and industry… (HUGE AMAZING PLACE ABSOLUTELY LOVVEEDDD IT! )  it takes 1 full day to see everything. .but we did it in about 4 hours… So cool..

The aquarium is nice,

the field Musuem is really nice ( they shot the movie the Night at the City musem there)

We always got deep dish pizza and chicago hot dogs and phily sandwhiches so not on the fancy resturants..

Those places were kid friendly places though.. But my 27 yr old butt was in there oohh and awwwing…

@fashionlove:  I’d walk and shop the mag mile!  Go to second city!!!  The museums and aquarium are always fun.  There are SO many great places to eat, too!  If you’re a baseball fan, go up to the north side and check out Wrigley Field and the surrounding area, lots of history there.

Oh, and for the best deep dish pizza, go to Giordano’s.

There is ice skating in Millennium park that time of year.  At night it is very pretty, that would be a fun romantic activity.  Here’s a link for that info:  http://www.cityofchicago.org/city/en/depts/dca/supp_info/ice_skating_at_themccormicktribuneicerink.html

Also the Willis/Sears tower has that sky deck thing with the glass floor.  Personally have never been, but it’s supposed to be really cool.

If you are walking around the Mag Mile and are up by Watertower, make a quick stop in the Ghirardelli Chocolate store.  They always have someone standing by the door handing out free chocolate to everyone that walks in.  I may or may not do that everytime I’m shopping in the area 😉

The Art Institute of Chicago is great if you are interested in art museums.

I also love the beautiful view from the top of the Hancock Tower. You can see the whole city for miles and miles. I would recommend going to the Signature Room restaurant/lounge on the 95th and 96th floors rather than the observation deck at the very top. It’s very pricy but you can just get a drink and enjoy the atmosphere if you don’t want a full meal.

If you like authentic Mexican food, Frontera Grill is amazing.

Enjoy your trip!
