Hi ladies, I need some advice regarding the online printing services for a 2×3.5 magnet. I used one of our high resolution engagement photos and added some text in Mac’s Pages program (similar to Word), then save as a PDF. I uploaded it to Overnight Prints and the colors just look faded. I am wearing a bright blue dress that pops in the original picture and it’s just dull in the uploaded proof. This wouldn’t concern me so much, but I ordered post cards from Overnight Prints a few weeks ago…they were supposed to be grey and turned out hunter green. I just had that corrected at Alphagraphics this week.
So my question is this, do you think that happened because I used Pages and not some Adobe Creative Suite program? Or is it just Overnight Prints gang-run process??? Is Vista Print any better? Any other suggestions? (But please remember, I am uploading my own design and some of the other magnet websites only let you use their designs with your picture.) Should I just print on glossy photo paper and use a buy a xyron at Michael’s with the magnet cartridge? All advice/suggestions welcome.
