I just ordered from VistaPrints on 7/14/08. I started drafting our invitations and wasn't going to order them until later since our wedding is not until Sept 2009, but I got emails from them everyday re a sale so I went ahead and ordered. I chose the slow option, and as of today, status is "Printing in Progress." I'm hoping to receive them this week even though it's a 21-day wait. I don't think (or should I say, "I hope...") they will just hold on to the order until 3 weeks. Perhaps it also depends on how much stuff they have to work on at the time of your order?...
I'm glad to find out other brides went the VistaPrint way :)
I just ordered mine! By having them send them they go out sooner, and the postage was slightly discounted. They charged $7.99 to mail them for me (plus postage) which was the same price as the "slow option" to have them shipped to me and then have me mail them. My total was $39.47 for 50 oversized colored postcards to be mailed for me. Not bad.
I used Vista Print and opted to pay for their faster shipping cause I wanted to get my STD's out quickly for a DW. What are you ordering from them? I might have a discount code for free postcards if that's what you're doing, that way you can just pay shipping =) message me if you need it!
Jen4637 -- wish I had read your post sooner-- I purchased 50 oversized postcards this morning!
It totally depends where you're shipping to.
I'm in HI and use them for work a lot; I always pick the "Priority" option. It comes via "Next Day" service, which means I get it in about 3-4 days (even though the site says 7).
I did the super slow once, and regretted it (but mostly b/c shipping to HI is a completely different and incredibly annoying business). I believe the slow option is via USPS parcel mail (or some other really slow class -- it's NOT Priority Mail). The next option up is, I think, ground courier (FedEx/DHL) and the next one above that is 2-day Air (which comes to me "next day" because we don't really have "next day"...it's all 2-day. Bleah.). I think I tried the 2nd level once, and b/c it had to get trucked from East to West coat and then on the boat, it took longer than the site said it would.
Hi,
You don't way where you are located... but I am in California, and I order from them all of the time. I usually just get their 21 day shipping, and it comes in less than 21 days. But it varies. Once, my order arrived in 1 week. Sometimes, 10 days, sometimes 2 weeks. I think it depends on how many jobs they have lined up. If you are lucky and they are not busy, then you get your stuff faster. Be sure to proofread twice!
Hi :)
My 21 orders never take over a week and I'm in California. Of course, my orders have only been for like 20 postcards here or 100 business cards there. One thing I will say though is that they always seem to make some sort of dumb mistake. Either the bottom of the cards aren't cut as neat as I would like, or the ink seems to be smudged somewhere, etc.
Hi, I agree with gromzillaisme's comment above and that's why I had to finally give up on Vista Print and I went with another site called savethedatemagic.com. They worked with me and gave me a final product that was truly nice and no problems like gromzillaisme noted.
Thanks, Crystalj611

I am considering using Vista print for my wedding reminders (see earlier post) instead of diy (for time's sake), but their shipping seems a little unreasonable. Does their standard shipping really take 14 days ($12.00)? They have a "slow" option of 21 days ($8.00) -- what make it so slow, do they just hold on to your stuff for 3 weeks? What they call "pirority" takes 7 days ($15.56).
Anyone with Vista Print experience, please advise! Thank you.
