I've used Vista print for my business cards and they came out great. They do offer some of the cheaper options. I'm also thinking of using them to print our holiday cards. One thing I would say to be careful is, after you make your purchase, they offer additional items. If you click on it (just to get more info) it automatically gets charged to your card. I'm sure you could cancel it later, but it's still very annoying.
Trust what you read about consumer website about the compliants of Vistaprint because I am a victim of it myself.
I ordered those free business cards 10 weeks ago and they still haven't arrived. I called them and a guy with Jamacian accent answers the phone and said he will send me another "free" business cards. It's been 10 weeks now and I still dont see it from my mailbox.
Go with something local and be careful!
I ordered my save the dates, they looked great everyone loved them. Especially me because I got 100 for free, just $5.43 for shipping. I chose the "slow mail option" and it took about three weeks to get them.
As a company I ordered business cards for everyone here since they didn't want to spend the full pop for expensive ones. We uploaded our logos and they came out fine. We got those super fast. No complaints.
My finace ordered promotional postcards as well and received them within about three weeks, glossy nice quality post cards.
Oh but the other post was right, be careful because they offer extra things; if you are flying from screen to screen you will add something extra by accident.
I had to have business cards rushed to me and had no problems.
I ordered my Save The Date postcards from Vistaprint with the free promo code, and received them in a week. They all turned out great. My FI also ordered business cards from them in the past without any problems.
We also ordered our save the date postcards with them and had no problems at all. Shipping was faster than quoted, and the final product was exactly what we expected.
I've ordered three times from Vista Print.
First time- I ordered magnets, flat cards, note pads & postcards. I paid for basic shipping, but they only took like 2 weeks and came via USPS in an envelope seperated into two shipments.
Second time- I ordered more flat cards. Got them in 3 weeks and also came via USPS.
Third time- I ordered my save the date magnets and got 50 for $27. I also ordered a couple more note pads, sticky notes, return address labels and an address stamper for my FH's job. They all came out great, they look so cute and I got them in less than 1 week via DHL.
Oh and I actually got a follow up call today to make sure everything was great and to make sure I was happy with my orders.
I totally recommend to anyone without any reservation.
quinnkd, could you elaborate on what the complaint you saw was?
I use them all the time for both work and business (we do a lot of promo cards for work, both the large and small postcards, as well as their flyers, and I've ordered postcards for save-the-dates and our holiday cards too). The only times I've had problems are when I've used the "standard" shipping, and it's taken FOREVER to come. I believe they use media mail or some other lousy class (USPS fault, not really VP's), and combined w/ the fact that I'm in the middle of the Pacific, it has taken a month and a half to get things sometimes.
Yes, that "add stuff on" thing is pretty tricky, and I'm not a fan, but it's not caused me any problems.
I DID call one time and spoke to a foreign person about my order and he was very unhelpful...but it turned up a couple days later, no problem. The 2-day air service (UPS) usually is only a few (< $10) dollars more than the standard option, so I always take that now.
Quality has been quite excellent except for their address stamp -- I didn't realize it would be a crappy little piece of rubber that I had to stick on myself.
hi all, sorry i thought i had included the link:
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/online/vistaprint.html
It's a consumer affairs complaint report
We ordered Save the Date announcement cards and magnets from them earlier this week and just received a shipping notice. I can't speak to the quality until they arrive but we did notice that the prices and discounts varied a lot based on how we accessed their site. For example, we saw 50% off prices in the sponsored link headers when we searched for "save the date announcement" or "save the date magnet" on Google. We had to play around a bit to get the 50% offer on both items because it kept toggling to one or the other based on which Google search link we used.
We ordered save-the-date magnets from them with a design I made in Illustrator and they came in about a week earlier than they said it would (we are in MA).So about two or three weeks standard shipping? The quality was nice but it was cut a little off (although I'm picky so it could've been just me). But it was an overall great deal with no service problems!
I ordered our save the date postcards from them, and they came quickly (can't remember how quickly now). i was happy with the quality, but the color was different than it looked on my computer screen (not terribly surprising, though). overall, i was happy with their service, but i never had to call them either.
I used them to order my Save-the-Date magnets, and it was super easy. I used Photoshop (they provide a template for you to get the sizing correct). Make sure you get the proof...it's only $1 or so, but shows you exactly how it will appear. The colors were slightly off in real life, but that could be due to my comp. Shipping was fast too. They give so many different offers...the one that worked best for me was 140 free return address labels, and 25% off the entire order.
My friend also used them for her Save-the-dates, Thank yous, and moving announcements, with no problems. Just be sure to check your 'cart' before paying!
it seems the complaint is about VistaPrint signing customers up for free subscriptions that later turn into $15/month charges to their credit card. I ordered some postcards for thank youcards from them and am very happy with the quality. I am, however, watching my bank account to make sure I don't see the charges that many of those people are complaining about. so far I haven't seen anything. Just be careful when you're ordering your products and make sure that there are no check boxes signing you up for "free" services and hopefully you'll be okay!
Hi all,
So i received the save the dates and they came out terrible. The back isn't even centered correctly (even though i used their templates) and the color bled a bit so its difficult to read. they're in the trash - what a waste of money.
I ordered my Save the Date's from Vistaprint - i uploaded photos to a postcard template.
They came out very nice - no problems at all. Shipping was quicker than estimated, and the postcards looked exactly like the proof.
I've never had a problem with them and I've ordere a lot of stuff from them. I find my stuff arrives fasted then normal - but I wouldn't count on that during this holiday time.
My suggestion would be to pay extra for faster shipping - otherwise, order away I do my holiday cards, daughters b-day invites and all my business stuff through them.
I did go elsewhere for my STD's but only because of the size I wanted, VP didn't carry. Wish I woulnd't have - this place was crazy annoying to work with - they we're called Pelican prints or something. It took them FOREVER! ANd I have like 17 people working on my one order so I could never get an answer about anything because I was always being shuffled around from person to person.

I've always had a great experience. Just make sure you know that the business cards come smaller than the standard size out there.
ok.. I did order Save the Date cards through them back in September. However after reading from the consumer complaints, I'd suggest going elsewhere. The main problem are the popup ads that consumers are clicking out of, but by doing so, committed to these membership charges. I luckily have the feature on the computer to block popups because most of them are viruses. Anyhow to be on the safe side, I am canceling the two cards that I used VistaPrint on just in case. I haven't seen any charges but you never know. Oh and the cards did come out great but I would buy elsewhere for security sake.
Both FI and I have used VistaPrint for numerous things from business card to our save-the-dates to stationery and have never had a problem. Our STDs came much earlier than I thought they would and looked stunning. We were going to do our invites from VP but decided not to because we weren't in love with any of the templates.
Just make sure you don't add things you don't intend to buy or click on pop-ups. You would think by now that most people would look for boxes signing you up for things that are "free", but I guess not.
I've been happier with overnightprints.com - both the quality and the customer service. They offer less options than vista print, but for the things that are the same (business cards, postcards, etc) I've really found the quality to be superior.
i loved vistaprint! i ordered my STDs on magnets and they turned out great!!!!!! i would DEFINETLY reccomend them!!! <3333
Okay, for awhile now, I've been raving about Vistaprint.
I ordered my STD postcards from them (with my own uploaded work) and they turned out great. They were free, as were the business cards I ordered. I only had to pay for shipping, and that was nothing, really.
After raving about them, I noticed a $14.95 charge on my account that they *tacked on* about 30 days later for some of their "services" even after I uncheckboxed the "sign up for our premiere services" or some nonsense. I called their customer service dept. and they were very professional and friendly and refunded my money immediately. The credit appeared about 3-5 business days later.
However, I started to get fraudulant charges from that card a few weeks later. Charges not directly connected to VistaPrint. I know that it was them, because it was a brand new card and I hadn't used it anywhere else prior or after. I've been informed from the BBB that they sell your card information to other parties and that their support group is in India, where your information is also public. They're aware of the issues that VistaPrint is causing their customers and are being sued.
Beware!
MissMandy, I'm so bummed to hear that b/c I've been really happy w/ their print quality and good deals. (I posted earlier about my experiences.)
I haven't -- knock on wood -- had any problems myself, but I am definitely going to start using my Bank of America "Shop Safe" option on any future purchases. (B of A lets you use a "temporary" number that's not the same as your real card, and even better, lets you set a purchase limit and expiration date.) Haven't done it before, but I'm going to look into it for sure for next time. Anyone else tried this?
I used BofA's Shop Safe feature for the first time when I ordered my Save the Dates from Vista Print a couple of weeks ago because I had read about the problems with VP on a previous WeddingBee board. I think the feature is great. It was really easy to use and hopefully lessens the risk of extraneous charges. I'm still a little nervous, given everything I've read though, and am keeping a close eye on my account. If I hadn't liked the STD template so much (and the fact that they're insanely cheap), I don't think I would have used VP.
We have never had a problem with vista print. Good quality and never any of the issues reported in this thread.
I have been using them for a few years now and have placed 41 seperate orders. ( I know cause I was just checking on my last order to see if it had shipped yet.) I've only had one issue so far. Some postcards that I ordered looked fuzzy when they arrived. I called the CS# and they had a new set overnighted to me.
Maybe because I have such a long order history, I get "better" service, but I've gotten the same amount of service any time I've needed anything.
At their prices, if you have the time, make an order. Since you typically just have to pay for shipping it can be worth the trial and error.
never had a problem receiving my orders from vista print.
i have however recevied a magazine subscription that i did not want. that's a very annoying feature since they have redesigned their site.
I was recently considering whether or not to send save the dates and opted not to due to the cost.
Then I got an email from VistaPrint offering 250 Business Cards for free, so I used them as Save the Dates instead. I placed my free order, paid just about $5 for shipping (regular/slow) and was told I'd get my cards in 3 weeks. They arrived 10 or 11 days later and they were wonderful! I can't wait to send them out.
I have no complaints, and I'd recommend the free business cards, in lieu of expensive save the dates, to others!
Best,
LORETTA*
I've ordered from them many times- postcards for my real estate business, business cards (make sure to get premium, not the free ones), and then my save the date postcards.
Always have had great service and excellent products, except for the free postcards which had this typed on the back: "Business cards are always free at Vista Print". That wasn't quite the image I wanted to project to my clients.
But yes, definitely two thumbs up from me for quality and price.
I have ordered from VP a number of times over the years. I think my very first order was about 6 years ago. I ordered business cards for my non-profit mediation work. The cards came quickly, and were very nice quality.
When I moved 5 years ago, I ordered new business cards, and address labels. VP accidentally sent me someone elses order. I contacted them about it, and they were very nice and helpful, and resent my order super-fast (even though I had already received the correct address labels, they sent me a new batch free too). They took the info on the incorrect order and said I could throw it out because they'd just resend a new order to the other person. This is the only problem I've ever had with them.
I also ordered moving announcements and new address labels from them earlier this year with no problems. The quality was very nice, the price was great, and they all came quickly. I also just ordered small photo magnets for our save the dates.
Most of the problems come from clicking on all of the extra offers, particularly after you complete your order. Just be careful that you review every page before submitting. And for extra security, use a temporary credit card number.
We ordered and had trouble regarding shipping. Also due to their website trying to sell you everything available, we had trouble with our envelopes and there is a custom name on the back that isn't ours. This is due to the fact that my fiance lived elsewhere before and it chose a random address. So now we couldn't change it because they said that we checked the confirmation link.
The website has a few difficulites because we weren't sure about and item or two and waited we couldn't receive the exact special. I like them but not overseas transactions.

I just saw a post of a consumer affairs complaints regarding VistaPrint... i was just about to order my save the dates from them today. I know Mrs. Hibiscus has raved about them and how cheap they are, but has anyone had problems with this company? thanks!
