I started taking a prenatal when I started to TTC. I just use the generic CVS brand. It seems to do the job (although I guess I would not know if for some reason it wasn’t helping). My hair and nails look amazing though.

Yep prenatal is perfect for TTC. I took Pregvit but that’s with a prescription. Also, Materna is good as well.

Generic is totally fine. You just want, at least, 400 mg folic acid.

yes, I started taking prenatals when we first started TTC. I take the CVS gummies or the Vitafusion gummies.

A prenatal is best. You could do a gummy for now (no iron so it’s easier on the stomach) and then switch once you actually get pregnant. My doctor recommends 800 mg of folic acid even while TTC.

Yup, definitely take a prenatal. A friend of mine told me her doctor said to start taking them three months before TTC in order to let the folic acid build up. Can’t hurt! 🙂 I was taking them 4 months prior.

MsSunshineBee:  I take folic acid each day. I bought Nature’s Made plus omega and it has given me the worst nausea – amd actually made me vomit a couple of times. I do not reccommend it at all. I’m looking for a new one.
