I don’t know if you are still looking into this, but I would look at other makes of the dress, there are a lot on etsy. I ordered them from Von Vonni for my wedding but, I want to warn you, dealing with that company has been an extreme headache. The bm dresses have been the most stressful part of my wedding planning experience, no question about it. It took multiple calls (and being hung up on) over 3 weeks to get them to even place the order. Then it took multiple calls (and more being hung up on) to figure out why it took a month to ship, even after they told us they were in stock and we would have them within a week. Then when they finally arrived two of the dresses are obviously a different shade. I don’t trust the company enough to be able to send back the off dresses and receive color matched replacements so we are just going to roll with it. But, when I called to ask for their help they were completely unhelpful. The lady just says I’ll have my manager call you in an hour and then they never do. Its happened more than once. I also discovered I’m not the only one with a bad experience. Check them out on better business bureau. Find another company that makes the dresses, Von Vonni is not worth the ulcers.

So, when I picked the bridesmaids dresses OVER a year ago, I picked the Von Vonni transformer dress.  I absolutely loved the color, the fact that it could be worn in a variety of ways to make the bridesmaids comfortable, AND the fact that there seemed to be frequent groupons/ideeli/deals etc. for the dress was an added bonus.  THEN came the problems.  One bridesmaid ordered her dress through HauteLook and was told OVER a month later that the company could not fill the order and they refunded her money.  It sounds like this is the only time a Von Vonni customer got a refund.  So, in mid-July, two of my bridesmaids ordered their dresses through the company directly.  It is now the END of September and not only have they NOT received their dresses, but the company is not returning any of their phone calls, emails, facebook posts, etc.  They paid for the dresses and now have had to go and buy a DIFFERENT dress because my wedding is 12 days away.

I am sharing this with you all as something for you to consider.  I will never do business with this company ever again.  I encourage each of you to carefully consider your options for bridesmaids’ dresses as well.

I ordered a Von vonni dress late Janurary of this year through living social for $59.  I got it right before the end of March.  The dress was a long sleeve transformer in a Large and it fit well. The upper part of the sleeve was a little tight.   They had a sale in early September where there were a lot of dresses for only $29.  I placed an order the Labor Day weekend, the website link to UPS tracking says a label for shipment has been created on October 4th.  Yesterday and today the vonvonni website is completely down. Are they out of business?

I ordered my 6 bridesmaid dresses on Sept 15th, my card was charged and almost two months later I still have no dresses.  I have emailed, called, and facebooked Von Vonni with no response.  Now their website no longer works.  STAY AWAY! You can order the same dresses on Ebay or Etsy, DO NOT GO THROUGH VON VONNI!  I have filed fraud charges and with the Better Business Buearu.  I have 3 other transformers, they are amazing, but I got them through a local boutique.  I completely suggest the look, but not the company.

The topic ‘Von Vonni for bridesmaids?’ is closed to new replies.
