I am planning on having gold accents in my decor (think muted gold centerpiece vases with ivory flowers, etc. — not shiny, over the top gold).
My venue is a beautiful old converted textile warehouse, with restored wood floors, exposed brick walls, and floor to ceiling windows all around the room. My colors are very neutral – I’m planning on having light oatmeal colored linens, with the gold centerpiece accents, and as I said, a mix of ivory flowers (maybe with a touch of blush flowers mixed in). The cake will be pretty standard; ivory / white icing, 3-4 tiers, and probably just fresh flowers as embelishment / the cake topper.
Thoughts on this cake stand (“plateau”)?

PRETTY… definitely sounds like it fits your colour, theme & decor.
Go for it.

I like it alot! The gold is really nice on it and not “in-your-face” bright.
I also used a plataeu stand as well (but in silver) and it made the cake really elegant looking.

As someone who had to deal with her mother agonizing over cake stands… no one notices the cake stand.
We had a similar one only it was silver. As long as it holds your cake, it’s a great cake stand!

I love it! I have only seen silver ones in that style so it definitely stands out for me

@Hyperventilate: Seconded on that no one really notices the cake stand! I got a vintage cut glass one and trust me, the only thing anyone noticed is that the main cake was a bit higher than the other cakes.
But I still think its pretty. 🙂

Hello! I am having gold accents in my wedding as well and have looked everywhere for a gold cake stand. Where did you find this one? Renting or buying? I love it!

I think it’s gorgeous. Just luxe enough without being too flashy.
