These were my light gold BM dresses. David’s Bridal…if it helps at all.

The paterned dress seems busy.  It also doesn’t seem to have much shape.  I don’t know if it would look better on girls with curves, but when it looks boxy on a modle, its a tough sell that it would look better on people.

I really like the champagne color better than the taupy-color.

I like the champagne and the taupe but voted for the taupe. Just a side note – my sister was going to do champagne dresses in that same fabric but when we went to try them on it made my other size 4, 5’8″ sister look way bigger than she is. The color and fabric aren’t very forgiving so we ended up going with a dark grey. Just something to keep in mind if you don’t have tiny bridesmaids! But if they look like the girls in the first pic you’ll be good to go 🙂

I actually really like the third dress.  Have you checked out Rent the Runway?  They have some gold dresses that are as low as $30-40.

@kmb727:  Yeah, definitely go off how the color looks on your BMs’ skintone in person. I think everyone chose champagne because it’s closest to the first pic you posted. But it might be too light & close to your dress color so everyone kind of blends in. Good luck!

We’re going with an old gold – Venetian Gold – part of the Dessy group. The venue is a historic structure, with lots of gilting/gold accents. It was hard to find the exact color – the lighter golds were more of a champagne and the darker golds were often dark yellow, or mustard.

I voted for the champagne but I think the taupe is beautiful, too. I agree that seeing how each color looks against your BMs’ skin would be valuable in the decision making process.

I would go with #1 or #2.  I think the pattern of #3 would clash a bit with your lace dress.  I personally think #2 would look great with lace and bring it out a bit more in the photos but #1 may look better on people’s skin tones.

@kmb727:  I’m still liking the darker option better, it’ll make your dress stand out more. And as a BM, depending on the style they could rewear it (the J Crew ones I’d wear to work with a cardi over top of it.)

I had this same exact debate for my 4/2015 wedding! I loved the lula kate but my love affair with Jcrew had been longer (and I debated champagne vs fawn). Plus since they are discontinuing the silk taffeta my girls got pretty awesome deals. I know you probably decided at this point but just a heads up for anyone else looking!
