    I prefer the second group, personally.

    I like Group 1. My only suggestion would be that I would probably spray the lanterns a lighter color to give them a more distressed seaside kind of feel to match the shells and the netting. If that seems like too much work, they def look good as is, just an extra suggestion.

    I like the first one way better! More of a beachy feel to it.

    I love group one, but I think you can do without the flowers.

    @tksjewelry: I third this idea… I love the netting in the first group, but something about the lanterns are off, I say lighten em up and make them more of a light blue/white… maybe something like this but with light blue underneath instead of the black/grey:

    I like group two better. I think its more simple and to the point. Either way though it is very pretty.

    Great idea! I voted Group #1. Like a PP said, I’d rough up the candle holder/lantern a bit to make it more sea-side distressed. I also would paint the table number frame, too… whenever I think of beach/seaside, I always think of white. I’d also probably fit the table number somewhere on the netting.

    Food for thought, I was going to do something similar in that I found big hurricane glasses ($6 from Walmart, if I remember correctly) and used sand as my vasefiller to incorporate the seaside feel. Also found some wonderful driftwood candleholders to vary the centerpieces from table to table. I ended up wanting to go a whole new direction/them but looked very cute when I did the mock up.

    ETA: I’d probably go light on the blue stone/marble things to keep it from looking too busy.

    @FrozenFeet: agreed!

    I think you could even go without the blue stone things…  I would rather see sea glass or sea shells… But I think group 2 looks like it’s missing something.
