I don't know which is best, but I've used Shutterfly and Inkubook. Both because I had coupons.
The Shutterfly book came out nice, but options for layouts was limited.
The Inkubook looked a lot nicer- the cover was glossy and you could put a photo. They had loads of layout options. The things I didn't like was that at the time (when they first started) they had very limited options for text fonts and the interface was SLOOOW (my computer HATED the interface).
Oh I'm so glad you did this post! I'm in the process of choosing an album company too and would love to know everyone's opinions. So, I don't have a recommendation (yet) and can't vote, but wanted to be sure I was on the email thread. Thanks for doing this poll!
I've used Snapfish-it took me forever to make the book because I am a perfectionist, but the ending result was fabulous! The books are very well made-also, if you sign up for their promo emails you can get a good deal on them!

Like most newlyweds, I'm gifting our parents with an album of our wedding photos. Our photos didn't come in time for Christmas, but we're still giving little coupons promising the arrival of the albums very soon!
I've seen so many mixed reviews on photo album companies lately that I thought I'd just make it simple and leave it to a poll. You can write a review on your experience if you want but I really want to see the hard numbers.
We'll also be DIYing our own wedding album and will use the data in this "poll" to help us pick a company for that as well. We'll be looking for a flush mount (thick pages) album for that. And I realize there are literally tons of companies missing from this list, but these are the most popular and affordable ones that most people think of when DIYing their albums.
Please refrain from voting unless you've personally used one of the companies or have seen their work from a close friend or relative's album! Thanks!
