Darling Husband and I love the name Caroline but we’re still undecided on a middle.
In the past, my favorites have been Violet, Elise & Lily. Darling Husband suggested Dora, after his Nana. But lately we’re both seriously considering Caroline May for the following reasons:
- Most likely a May baby
- May is my middle name (I was also a May baby, named after my grandmother, another May baby)
- Our last name is three syllables (starts with McK) so I think a short middle name flows nicely
Any thoughts either way? 🙂

I personally think of the Neil Diamond song “Sweet Caroline” when hear the name Caroline. Not that it is a bad thing, lol in fact now I have that song going through my head…

I like it! It’s sophisticated, and unique. Also, longer names tend to sound better with a short middle name.

I think it sounds nice AND I like that it has a personal and family meaning. Best of both worlds.

I love Caroline. I’m biased though as I’ve chosen it for my future daughters name as well.

I love it! Sadly a family member has forever ruined the name Caroline for the use of MY babies… but I still love the name! I also think May fits perfectly!

@Sassygrn: That has a little bit to do with why we like the name so much!
“Sweet Caroline” is always played in the middle of the 8th inning at Red Sox home games.
