I’m not normally a sash person – and i dont love the first two. But the etsy sash is gorgeous and i think will compliment your particular dress perfectly. Plus, it will highlight your figure!!! 🙂

First of all, love your dress! I second the Etsy sash- I think it’s beautiful! I also second maybe getting a blingy sash!

I think no sash or a super sparkly crystal one. Perhaps even forgo the sash and sew a crystal applique to the middle of the waist?

@bee_happy:  For sure! You can do something thin and subtle. Maybe a thin crystal sash or a subtle lace sash if you like lace.  Or you can get a sash that has one accent piece/brooch. I found these on Etsy:

@bee_happy:  for sure, a more delicate sash will be more flattering I think. I had this Reem Acra dress in a very similar style to yours, and I think a similar sash or crystal detail (thin with a center detail) would work for you:

I like the idea of the navy to tie with the bridesmaids, so when I voted “other” I was thinking maybe there is a blingy/otherwise interesting navy sash that can be had?

What about a sash like the one I wore? I ordered it from gloryshouse.com and had my seamstress sew it on. It was only $20. 🙂

I like it with a sash and would get a blingy one. The etsy one is pretty, but I think you can do better as PP’s have shown.

I had the same bodice style (sweetheart neckline and everything) as you, and I originally bought a navy sash to go with it. After months of trying to figure out how to tie it… I realized I didn’t really like it. I agree, the sash made me feel “stumpy” as well somehow. That being said, I DON’T think it looks bad, but the sash look is almost more casual.

Do you have your jewelry yet? When I tried everything on and finally decided to ditch the sash, I put on all my jewelry and had a tan (which made it almost look like TOO much with the sash). I would try to sparkle your look up with some jewelry and then consider the sash.
