I normally don’t like to discuss politics…but by looking at the poll, you can tell which one I voted for.

I consider myself liberal but independent. Thus far I have only voted Democrat, but I would have no objection to voting for a candidate of another party if they were, after my evaluation, my choice for the best option.

There is no option up there for me! I consider myself to be a true moderate/independent. I don’t like to identify with a party anymore because I feel like politics have become too much about which ‘side’ you are on. People are no longer willing to give a little and admit that their party is not universally right, and the opposing party is not universally wrong. Personally, I think the party system the way it currently is will (continue to) be the downfall of the US.

I have both conservative and liberal ideologies, depending on what the issue is.

I don’t think the party system is so strong anymore.  I go a little left, I go a little right.   I vote on the issues that matter to me—not party loyalty.

I generally don’t discuss politics either, however I consider myself a conservative democrat.

The bill does adversely affect the industry that I work in and could mean trouble for my job, so while it passing is a good thing, I truly hope that it is as beneficial as intended, so if I do lose my job, it will be for a greater good.  I just take everything that is a government initiative with a grain of salt.

I often identify as a liberal Democrat, and generally vote Democrat, but I tend to lean a bit further left then the Democratic party.  I’m really more of a socialist.

I’ll vote when there are more options than two evils. 😛

I’m with rosiebear. I voted Democrat because that is how I typically vote, but on the political spectrum I’m really more of a socialist. Or, at least, mid way between democrat and socialist.

I typically vote Democrat, but there are a few areas/topics where I wouldn’t necessarily side with the democratic views; sometimes I don’t consider myself to be very liberal.

Like VirginiaMarie said, I go a little left, I go a little right.

I sometimes like to say that I’m so far left I can’t see the right. ;p I have mostly voted democrat out of a lack of real choice. Frankly, I think this country needs a 10+ party system like many countries in Europe. There is no real choice in a 2 party system.

No option up there for me either. I’m socially liberal, but fiscally conservative. FI’s libertarian ways have rubbed off on me!

FI and I are both purple…he’s more of a violet red and I’m more of a royal purple though 🙂
