I really like the traditional vows, so we are sticking with those.  How exciting that you've written yours. 'I honesly don't think I could do it myself.

haha writer's block! that is hilarious!

our officiant is actually a really good friend of ours, and pastors the church that we went to while we were in college, I have seen him do a few weddings, and he always changes the way he delivers the vows, I am actually meeting with him at the beginning of April to go over this.  It is basically the traditional vows, with a twist. He kind of paraphrases it.

Surprisingly, I am not nervous! I just get more and more excited! It's actually two months away on Monday! I can't believe it's gone by so fast, we had a long engagement (about 15 months).  Next think you know, you'll be two months away! :)

yes! I actually found my dress at a really small boutique, and they do all their alterations there.  My final fitting is April 17th!  I've had a hair trial, and I love the way it looked! And I am doing my own make-up! brave? I know! hahaha

I sometimes wish we had eloped!

how exciting! do u have any pics of you in ur dress that u want to share? ill show u mine if u show me urs lol im thinking about doing my own makeup since the person i want to use wants to charge $500 plus travel expense if we decide to elope in SF as to his $150 regular fee if its in LA. :( so we are thinking about after the elopement going to take professional pics like at a studio and using him.

I sadly don't have any pics of me in my dress :(

BUT, as soon as April 17h rolls around I will be posting them!!!!

WOW 500 dollars!!! eek.  I've been practicing 'day of' make-up. I just go a little heavier than what I usually do.. I'm getting pretty confident.

I would love to see your dress! I promise I will post some on April 17th!

oh yeah, i actually voted on your necklace question! I just didn't make the connection until now!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your dress! And you look so freaking happy in your picture! I love it.

UM, SF's city hall is amazing!  Do it!

I love pearls! I think the necklace will look awesome with your dress. How long is it (the necklace)?

How are you doing your hair? haha so many questions!

My dress is a lot simpler! Sometimes I wonder if I should have gone bigger, but I still love it! I love the train on yours!

yes! i love it too! but im afraid the dress is too big and extravagant for the city hall but im gonna wear it anyway lol

The necklace is a good length not too short and not to long but the necklace is an ivory color and my dress is white so i hope its not to much of a difference.

As far as the hair goes here are some of my ideas.

what did u and ur fiance decide on flowers?

How are u doing your hair?

SF city hall is pretty extravagant! I think it will be perfect!!

I've attached a picture of what my hair will look like! I really like the second picture of the hair you posted!

And as far as flowers go, I ordered my vases online! (www.dollartree.com), and my aunt and a few of my moms friends are doing the flowers! I am doing daisies and daffodils!!

Pretty simplistic flower arrangements, but I almost fainted when we got the quotes from florists... close to 3000 dollars (we have about 250 guests).

We ordered our flowers from SAMS, and they just come in bulk!

For the ceremony, we're doing the traditional vows. For our rehearsal we're writing our own fun & more personalized ones!

We're writing our vows, and I'm really excited for it! I have a basic idea of what I want to say, but I'm sure I'll tweak it a million times before the wedding.

@sweetlikcake - yeah, I have a (very) rough draft! It was harder than I expected, but it's so rewarding. How did yours go?

I doubt it! Although I may be wrong, because when we initially talked about it he said, "of course we're writing our own!" like it was crazy obvious.

Honestly, the part I'm struggling the most with is what a normal length is. How long are yours?

our vows are traditional - but since im baptist and FH is catholic, i wrote the entire ceremony out - blending in the wordings of both denominations. Thankfully our minister is fine with that, so while its the same vows people hear at a traditional wedding, depending on the type of ceremony you are used to the wording is "slightly" different.

We're writing our own vows.  I actually whipped together mine a few weeks ago.  I had a moment of inspiration while washing dishes.  I have them saved in my email and am planning on revisiting them in a few months, just to make sure I really like what I wrote.
