Hey, I applied about 2-3 weeks ago, so I'm "in limbo" too. I think the process is that mrs. bee and a few select others will check out our application and blog. Possibly all the bees get to check out our blogs, not sure about that. I like to think that as we wait, there are bees monitoring our blogging to make sure we're consistant and timely (and interesting) with our posts. I also like to hope that with several bees getting married recently and coming up soon, it's about time they add some more to the hive. Miss Beagle and Miss Lab are evidence of this already today.
I am in the waiting game too ... I have lost track of how long it has been.
I'm in bee limbo, too. My wedding's in July, so I probably can't apply again if I get rejected this time.
Oh yeah, wanted to add that Mrs. Bee said in the chat Friday that every bee, current and past, is a member of the committee.
Well, my waiting is over ... I can't wait to see who will be joining the hive as the rest of the Dog Generation.
hehe - i may get banned from the boards after this comment BUT - i've noticed all of the 'bees' are very attractive. this is not in any way a comment about any of those of you waiting, as i have not looked at pics of you. i'm just saying.
So what does that mean for you Amber...are you going to be a bee?
@djmaddiebluedog - You won't get banned from the boards! Anyway I'm glad you think all of the Bees are very attractive. You just made the day of over 100 women!
The main criteria for applications is and will always be the quality of the blog. :-)
Nope, not gonna be a bee ... I got the very nicely worded email from Mrs. Penguin this evening. I thought I had a lot that made me "unique" and I made sure to blog over the minimum requirements.
*encore bride
*2 young kids
*ceremony & reception in my parent's yard
*in Arizona (I think there was only 1 other Bee that I can find)
*short wedding dress (being custom made I bought it without ever trying on a dress)
*no wedding party
*lots of friends as vendors
*"bigger" bride, even posted about my weight issue
*taking a "family" honeymoon to Disneyland (but I haven't blogged about it yet since we haven't booked it officially)
The only thing I can think is that I haven't started any DIY projects.
I think if you ask they'll tell you what they were hoping to find, but didn't.
Sure we'll give specific guidance if requested. Some of our Bees have applied two or even three times!
We also get a lot of applicants... unfortunately not everyone can be selected. :-(

What do you think is the longest amount of time it would take to be rejected by weddingbee?
If it's been a few weeks, does this mean you still stand a chance? (fingers crossed!)
Here is why I ask:
A few months ago I applied to become a bee. Within a matter of 2 days, I recieved a rejection. Ouch!... but thankfully atleast prompt. haha
I kept writting my blog and re-applied almost 3 weeks ago. When I made it a week without getting rejected right away, I started to get my hopes up. I hear that it can take up to a month to hear sometimes. I hate to ask, becaue I don't want to jinx it. But I wonder, what do you think is the longest someone would have to wait to get rejected?
