@WaitingDogMama:  I’m engaged now, but we talked about it for 3 years before it happened!!!  I had to watch all of my friends not only get engaged befoer me but have their weddings befoer I got engaged!!  My FI and I have been together for 6 years now, but I would get hints that it was coming and make sure I had a mani, and looked good for dates, just to be dissapointed…Then I finally knew once he actually bought the ring, and waited two more months…it was tourcher!!  But it’s worth the wait.  Hopefully it soon for you!!

PS – we also looked at venues before we got engaged, and signed a contract on one the week before he proposed, it was awkward b/c the ladies at the venues would look at my finger and NO RING…I think they didn’t take me seriously.  I also tried on a dress 4 days before the ring b/c it happened to be in stock for 3 days, my consultant didn’t judge me for not having a ring 🙂

My rign will be ready in 1-2 weeks.  I designed it, using stones from both of our families.  Everytime I get an email from my jeweler, i freak out a little.

It is also that awkward point of wanting to scream “I’LL BE ENGAGED SOON!” to everyone we know, but the ring isn’t here and the proposal hasn’t quite happened.

AND, I am super worried that SO is going to make me wait even longer after the ring arrives.  We have been working with the jeweler for the last 4 months and I AM TIRED OF WAITING.

I accidently found the receipt that showed my SO went to the store and ordered my ring on October 14th (Columbus Day) I have been dying!!! I have no idea how long it takes to come back and when he will propose And the anticipation is killing me and I can’t even get any information from him because I don’t want him to know I found the receipt since he has had his heart set on surprising me.

@kellynn323:  i relate to you with the manicures. Normally I do my own nails but I want them to be perfect for when he proposes. i hope he does it soon because manicures are fricken expensive and I’m running out of colors!!!

@BeeinBoston:  I know!! So expensive!!  And after he proposes you will need to continue them for a month or two b/c everyone you see is going to want to look at the ring!! Hopefully you don’t have to wait too much longer!
