HA! I googled too!! "Waiting for a proposal"
I lurked for a LONG time before joining! :) I love it here... you bees are awesome.
Not waiting anymore, but I found it because I follow a former bee's personal blog, and she had the icon on there. Clicked over and I've been addicted ever since!
I found it when I a friend got engaged and I was feeling a bit down and googled "wedding jealousy" or something similar and found a post on one of the boards here (I'm not sure if it was the waiting board or not) and found this board and loved it.
Haha, I googled something about being together 2 years and no proposal. Or maybe it was "waiting". Or maybe all of these. It took me like 9 months to get up the nerve to join. Now I'm addicted.
I googled too! something about how to bring up marriage to your boyfriend. lol. now when I am looking for a specific topic or question that I am feeling I will type it into google and add bee at the end and get results from the bee! it is awesome.
I think I googled something along the lines of "offbeat/coloured gowns" (at the time, I was torn between wearing a black dress or a white one - and I just wanted to feel like I wasn't a complete weirdo not wanting to wear white) and one of the results was a thread from here. I lurked for awhile because discovering the waiting board.
I googled something about weddings, as I was MOH for my sister two years ago. WB was my secret obsession for a while... No one knew I looked at it because I was nowhere near an engagement :)
i actually found this site when it was first created. it started on xanga as a personal blog about her life and i believe her husband or brother helped her start this website. it's amazing to see how much it has grown over the years. =)
I was looking up wedding things for my mom's wedding in June 2011 and discovered the boards so I decided to stay since I'm technically a waiting bee!
I found it when I was engaged to my ex, I don't even remember exactly when! But I've been hooked ever since :p

I googled to - I think "when will he propose" must have been desperate searching google for answers to THAT question on that day :D
Hey!! Well i'm a completely new bee to this website, just looking for any advice and other bee's in the same situation as me. My friend who is also on the website told me about it and said it was a great place to share your stories and get advice......
I was googling different decoration and cake ideas to help a friend with her wedding and this site came up. I lurked for a long time before joining because I am not engaged and will not be for a while.
I joined when I was still waiting, but I don't remember the exact thing that lead me here. Though, I'm sure it was something similar to what PPs have said. It was probably something along the lines of "Why hasn't he proposed yet??!/jf932!" Hahaha!
I sure am glad I found it, though!
I found this site via google, but I'm not excatly sure what my search terms were. I'm glad I'm here, it is nice to have a community!
I'm not waiting anymore but I found the site a long time ago while stumbling. Then later on I remembered the site and came back.
I found Weddingbee about a year ago, while looking up things for my friend's wedding (this past summer). Although I won't deny I was a little wedding obsessed at the time too (expected a proposal sometime then, which hasn't happened yet a year later!). I just remember I found it through Google Reader, so I was so confused when the blogger's voice kept changing! Then I noticed the random animals and breakfast foods as the authors, and finally caught on. Popped into the boards not long after, but didn't really stick around. Now I think I'm hooked, the boards are great!
I googled "proposal stories" because I am a sucker for a romantic proposal tale. The bee showed up in my results and I spent hours reading proposals and then exploring the boards. A few days later I made my own account :)

Hey waiting bees
I googled '8 year realationship and still no engagement' (I bet you can guess what mood I was in that day!) and this was the first site that popped up.
What is your story to becoming a waiting bee?
