AS AM I! What ceremony/reception locations have you been eyeing? Would love to see pics if you have them.
I really like this little chapel I came across at a small local college. I was there for a workshop one day, and they took us on a tour of the building, and I fell in love with it. I was automatically asking “Can weddings be held here?!”It’s very simple, which is exactly what I want. I believe SO and I will have a small wedding, and it would be perfect for that! Not crazy about the red chairs, but I love the wood floors, the ceiling, and the stained glass window!
There are pictures of the reception rooms on their site, but they’re in the same building as the chapel and look sorta like this. Kind of.
Oh gosh ..my SO would think I was nuts if he knew I’m already planning ..POST YOUR PICS!

I’m pretty sure my SO would think I’m insane if he ever found out I’ve not only planned our wedding and reception, but multiple versions of it. But it helps me with the waiting. I plan everything out to the tiny details then start over with an entirely new theme. It’s like wedding therapy.

I have not looked at venues, but that’s only because we don’t even know what city our wedding will be in since we have family all over the country. Otherwise I would be guilty! I have definitely thought about it though!
@pokie45: I love this chapel, it’s so cute! Will be beautiful for your small wedding… one day! And the chairs look removeable? Hopefully the waiting ends for you soon!

@Gevurah: I am kinda right there with you. As I have not actually picked a venue yet. I have a lot of things mapped out in my head, he would probably think im a crazy person if he found out I will be able to plan a wedding in a few months simply because I already know most of what I think I want lol. Oh love your picture by the way. Belle is my favorite and I am thinking about a Beauty and Beast theme wedding 🙂

haha I’ve picked the venue that I want. pretty sure on flowers, the style of bridesmaid dresses, my hair, and started looking at centre pieces. I’m pretty sure I’ll have it all planned by the time he proposes!

@emmalyn: I’m sure they’re removeable, but there’s no way my SO would be okay with paying to rent other chairs. 🙂 He would say they’re perfectly fine.

@pokie45: That venue is GORGEOUS. I know you say SO wouldn’t be cool with replacing the chairs, but I would try to convince him. Cherry wood-colored Chiavari would be TO DIE FOR in that room.

@pokie45: haha that’s too funny. Maybe you can start a “chair rental fund” jar and not tell him about it

@pokie45: OK, how cute is that chapel. what part of the Midwest are you in? Im in St. Louis, Mo.
The chapel that I want to get married at is located on the college campus that we met at.
The reception I like is Windows on Washington so far. One of our friends got married there, and SO loved it. I have planned out 2 weddings (in my head and on Pinterest) I know the guest list and budget. one in the fall with a color scheme, bridesmaids/flower girl dress, flowers, invitations and date. same goes for the spring date. The Save the Date’s will be the same no matter what date we choose. same goes for the rehearsal dinner, Im pretty much done. just waiting on my SO so ask me. which I hope is in the next few months, before my walk date in July.

- Wedding: March 2014 - Brazil Room
I am in love with a place and am so worried that it is going to be all booked up 🙁 Their website was being weird today, so I couldn’t grab a cool shot of what the outside ceremony space looks like. Here’s the inside…

I haven’t gone to look at places specifically to scope them out as venues, but I’ve done some online research, and I’ve of course kept my eyes peeled for the last few months… SO and I have talked about a Disney wedding, but I have to wait until we have a clearer idea of when (if? when.) this is happeneing before I can go further down that road…
@NovaGrey: That is gorgeous! I’m in the Bay Area as well, where is that out of curiousity?

I am OBSESSED with train station venues. I am particularly in love with Station 67 in Columbus, Ohio:
As well as Union Station in Chicago:

@Gevurah: Hahaha, same here! Especially because I’ve already been through 1/3 of the wedding planning process with my ex… it was hard to stop because I became SUCH a wedding junkie during that time. My SO jokes that I’ve got a wedding fetish, which may be true – I’m seriously considering starting my own wedding planning/coordinating business at some point in the future.
Because SO and I are planning to move to California together and have family in Ohio and Chicago (as well as Hawaii and Ireland), I’ve managed to cobble together in my head so many multiple versions of how our wedding could go. You know. If we get married. Oh god, I feel like a slight lunatic…

Oh I am definitely guilty of this. I tihnk I have pretty much found where it will be. And the best part about it, it’s under 1000 to rent for the day!
Before decorations. And after (the lanterns and lights are added in the price)
