Oh I hear you. We took ours on the 17th and they are supposed to go up tomorrow. I'm kinda not looking forward to it as I tend to hate most pictures of myself and so does FI, and I know that any picture I think is cute he will hate and vice versa. That's how it always goes. Sigh. This is also sort of a test-run for the photog to see if I want them to do the wedding so if I don't end up liking the pics I have to start at square one and find a new photog. ARGH.
That's almost a blessing, though. We were so excited about our photographer (first one we met with) and we signed on for the wedding AND e-pics right there! So, if we hate them, we're stuck with him!! :( I hear you on scared to see them in fears of hating them. Ditto! Why do I care so much then??? Haha! I think I'm just too desperate for them to turn out well!
Ours are supposed to be up on Thursday but he said that he would let me know if they were ready any sooner. I keep checking their blog in addition to my email--maybe they will put teasers there first?!
@Kittyachi- I am looking forward to it but not (for the same reasons you gave) I'm just hoping that in the hundreds of pictures that were taken there are at least 5 that we really like.
Oh, I hear this - we took our pictures on the 12th, and they said it would be no more than three weeks. That seems like ages ago - no way it's only been two weeks since then! I am a madwoman with the refreshing - "oh, maybe they got ahead of schedule" "oh, maybe..." etc. Ah, impatience!
A six-hour E-session - wow! I am sure you will get many wonderful pictures out of that!
We can only hope....I should not be complaining. 3 weeks!! Oh they would have had to turn me into the psych ward by now if that were the case with me!! Haha. I can only imagine what I will be like after the actual WEDDING while I'm waiting for the pics. Thank goodness for the beehive. It is saving my sanity to know that others feel the same way I do!!
It's pretty pathetic, but I have a super anxious/nervous feeling.
I feel like engagement pictures are more stressful than wedding pictures because the whole point is to look really good together---from the clothes to the poses. Wedding pictures are more capturing the events and what is going on.
I will most likely have a completely different opinion as I sit and wait for my wedding pictures :)
@lampshade127 - I think so. Engagement pictures seem to be about looking wonderful together, not capturing a special/unique day. I think you've nailed it exactly! No less nerve-wracking, but that's it!
If it weren't for the many many other sets of lovely e-pics posted around the hive lately, I'm sure my impatience would be a lot worse!
'Tis the season for E-pics! Yeah we had our e-pics taken last Sunday (25th) and we were told it'd probably take 2 weeks. Having told how long it would take hasn't stopped me from constantly checking my email *just in case*.

SOOOOO We took our engagement pictures last Sunday (18th) and our photographer spent 6 hours with us and it was great! So much fun and I am so excited to see the pictures! He told us that he would have them posted online by the end of the week...well, of course, being the insanely impatient bride that I've become, I email him at the end of the day on Saturday. It was the end of the week, right? How could he have not followed through!!! Haha
He emailed me back yesterday stating that the pics would be up tomorrow (which is now today) and he'd email me when they are up. So ALLLLL Day at work, I kept checking my email. Like an unhealthy amount. I pressed 'refresh' probably 875 times today. Obnoxious!!
I NEED HELP!! Has anyone else gone so crazed over something that is SO not a big deal??
