What does it say in your contract? Our photog committed to having our engagement pictures ready within a week of the shoot but I'm not sure if that's typical - we specifically asked for a short turnaround time.
Good point...I'm not sure I'd have to check it again...that's for the idea tho. But was it too much for me to ask him for a couple of pics after 2 weeks? I'm just really stressed now because my parents wanted the invites out 2 weeks ago and now they're like asking me everyday if the pictures are in yet. I just wish he'd send me even just ONE so I can send them.

They should totally be able to send you a few shots! Our photog actually specifically asked us if we needed any pictures earlier for stuff such as invitations or STDs. I took over engagement shoots earlier this month and they were all able to send me a few teasers, but they also weren't done editing all the images yet.
It's quite unusual if they are not responding to your emails and/or phone calls, though.
We had ours done on valentines day...it's now april1 and all we've seen are about a dozen proofs that she posted on her website. We have yet to see the whole album. 
We had ours about a week later. KEEP CONTACTING THEM. I'd let them know you need them for a specific project to see if they can step it up a bit!

We had ours taken over two weeks ago and have yet to see ours (excpet the ONE she posted on her blog). I'm soooooo anxious to get them back too!! I swear I check the mail everyday like a maniac!
It took about a week or so get my e-photos. Did they tell you an approximate time for processing/editing?
No no timeline...just they'll let us know as soon as they're ready.................we're going to try calling them again today.

Depending on how well known and busy the photog is I'd say the average would be 2-3 weeks wait time. It would also vary depending on how many pictures they took. Post-processing takes at least twice as long as actually taking the pictures does.
Understandably your anxious to get your photos back, but did you clarify during your session that you needed them by a specific date? I'd call and leave a message requesting a date that the photos would be ready by but dont hound them with phone calls and emails.
Yes we did let them know that we need pics to send out the invites. We even took some close ups JUST for that purpose. I agree I really do not like hounding my vendors about things...so not cool HAHA
We called them again today and they told us that they had email/weblsite issues the last few weeks and that they'll have a few sent over asap for us. I guess that's totally understandable. But in a way considering they knew we wanted them soon (I even asked for a few pics during the session and he said he could probably have some over in a couple of weeks) I think they should have called us or something?? It just feels like if we never called they would have forgotten us? But anyways its all good now.

Just to let you know the pictures are ready!!! They've posted a bunch on their website and they're FANTASTIC....worth the wait!! HAHAH We're picking up the cd tomorrow!!
Glad to see it all worked out! They should have called you and let you know they were having computer problems though. (that is a valid excuse... Anne Ruthmann blogs about having tech difficulties all the time)
As brides we just get so excited we forget that the photogs are probably working on 15 other projects besides ours.. so its hard to wait sometimes! Can you post some of the pics so we can see?!

Hey everyone..
My fiance and I got our engagement pics taken on March 6th. We really needed a couple of pics so we can send off some invites overseas with pictures since most of our relatives there have never met us. It's April tomorrow and we still have not seen a single picture. I've emailed a couple of times but I think they're ignoring us???? We just tried calling but got the voicemail. Are we expecting the pictures too early? When I emailed them I told them it's ok that they're not done but if we could have just 2 to send that would be great.
How long did it take for your pictures to be ready???
