@MrsPore2019:  That’s not crazy at all. You don’t need a wedding to get married 🙂

not crazy. you deserve your dream wedding, so if you can’t do it when you actually get married, i say a vow renewal is a great way to do it!

I’m doing the same thing! We got engaged two weeks before moving abroad, and decided that we didn’t want to wait to make it official.

In 3 days DH’s best friend got ordained to marry us and we organized a 5 minute ceremony and brunch for 40 people. I know 40 people is considered a small wedding, but I want to have a celebration where all of my friends and the rest of my family who couldn’t be there can attend. I think it’s a great idea 🙂

I was married in October 2010. We eloped because that was what we could afford.

We are having a vow renewal in October 2015. I only care about the opinions of those who will be attending.

Many military couples have quickie weddings and then their dream wedding later. Do it up and be happy.

If you want to talk about vow renewals, feel free to PM me.
