- Wedding: September 2013 - Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park
It had been two weeks since the big day and I am DYING to see those pictures! My photographer is awesome! i saw a few pictures as they were taking them but have not received even a preview yet…. So how long did it take you ladies to get them?

@mandyhartwell: It should be in your contract. My mom was a wedding photographer and the biggest annoyance was brides that couldn’t wait to get their photos and then began to attack her with demands. Check your contract and if there is no specific date then call the photographer to see what she thinks the timeline will be. If she is anything like my mother she will want to show you a finished and completely edited product before a viewing.

I was told 4 – 6 weeks and it was 6 weeks to the day and of course I was very impatient but we got them in the time frame they said we would. I’ve heard from friends, co-workers etc. that it can take MUCH longer than that. It all depends on how busy the photographer is and how much time they put into editing.

My photographer told us about five weeks. It’s been four now, and this last week of waiting is going to feel SO long!

We got ours back about 5 weeks after our wedding. Our photographer was also a friend of ours so I think she rushed our wedding for us, which was very nice considering she gave us a substantial discount on her normal prices.

Mine took 10 weeks after the wedding.
