I'm sorry you haven't gotten yours back yet.
I was lucky in that my photog posted pictures on facebook within the week of our wedding and then had the CD of photos to me 3 weeks later.
Can you ask your photog for ANY photos that you can see, even if he's not finished?
i hear you - i'm on the same timeline as you and i just keep checking my email and phone for contact that the pics are ready! i know it'll be worth the wait, but i also know it's a busy time for the photographer so i'm just patiently waiting...if i haven't heard anything after thanksgiving, i'll probably get in touch, mostly b/c i want to get going on my thank yous! the pics i've seen (non-pro) have been terrible, the lighting is not great at my venue and the pics are barely viewable. i just can't wait to relive the day!
hope your wait is almost over!
I haven't heard anything about mine yet either. They said 4-6 weeks and it's been 5 weeks and a day. If I don't hear anything by next Monday I'm going to start emailing. We have a lot of good guest photos but I can't wait to see the pro ones!! I hope we all hear/see something soon!
Thanks for responding, ladies. I am glad to hear I'm not alone ine my wait.
YSQueen, I have thought about writing or calling or emailing him and asking for some pics because he's my friend--but that's also what has stopped me from contacting him. Poor guy, I know he's had several other weddings since then, traveled out of state, had major car problems taking up some time...
I think I will wait a few more days and then call him and ask if he can give me a few because I want to send out a picture as a postcard Christmas card, and my mom wants to use the family photo for the same reason.
It was a small wedding... I just got a few iphone snaps. This is the only semi-clear one of the two of us.
I'm sure we will all have our photos soon. I mean the engagement period went by so ridiculously fast... :)

Sorry, there are no users yet.
My photog gives pics back between 4-6 weeks. It's been 4 weeks. I haven't bugged him at all. All I have seen from the wedding are a few iphone pics.
Honestly, the day was so, so, so quick... (The whole thing was quick--I planned my wedding in six insane weeks with no help, from Alaska, while working full time.) I barely got to experience it.
The honeymoon night was totally thwarted, by the way. The resort lady had suggested we use our honeymoon suite as a staging area for just before the ceremony, because of its location. Needless to say, every cup towel and pen and clean bit of space was used up. I knew this, and instructed the resort host to do an evening turn down--clean up a little bit with the garbage, give us some new glasses and coffee cups, and for godsake some towels!
Since the place is a resort winery, you'd think maybe they'd do a little turn-down and send a congratulatory bottle of wine...which would not have been necessary at all, but it would have been classy and gone a long way in my recommendations of the place for posterity--but when we arrived that night, it was in complete shambles. No towels, all cups dirty, things on the floor. Husband called the front desk and asked them to send some towels...they said that they couldn't because the manager had locked them up in his office or something before leaving--but that they would "try." 45 minutes later, still in my full ballroom gown, I called the front desk and gently reexplained the situation to the new staffer and said, "It's my honeymoon night, and I have been sitting in my dress all this time, totally killing the mood...please just don't worry about it and do NOT send anyone after all." They agreed.
20 minutes later, when ... well, it wasn't a good time ... we hear a knock on the door--some guy with two bath towels. "Thanks..."
In short...I look at my photos as a window to relive the moments I missed. Call me crazy.
I saw someone had some pictures. Has anyone else recently got theirs back to show? I will live vicariously. ;)
