Okay I was once a waiting girl, but now that I got my pretty little pink rock, I’m waiting for something else. This is actually much worse of a waiting game. I applied to be a bee almost 2 weeks ago and still nothing. Every time my mail box illuminates with a new email, my stomach drops. Is this it? Nope, it is junk mail, or worse a request from a co-worker.
It reminds of when you first start dating and you’re waiting for you special someone to call. Everytime it is someone else you’re highly disappointed.
WAITING for anything stinks!

I know the feeling! When I get like that, whether it is constantly watching the phone or email, I tell myself, “A watched pot never boils!”, and then put the phone in my purse or click out of my email for a while. This usually helps me forget about it and by the time I check again, there it is!!!
Hope you hear good news soon!

I’m going crazy, I keep going back and checking if I gave them the correct email and blog addresses. What is wrong with me?
What will be, will bee.

@Breathless: when you first log onto the website, you see things like “Miss Seashell” and a post and a tiny avatar of the name. Those are the “blogger bees”. They blog about their wedding for about 6-8 months before the big day and then do a recap. You have to go through an application process to be a ‘blogger bee’. A lot of bees that like to blog apply.

I applied when a thread came up about it about a week ago. The FAQs said it could take quite some time to hear back…I was thinking a month.
There’s a new Bee who lives in my region and I’m assuming that they might want more geographic diversity. I haven’t followed each Bee too closely…are some from the same areas?
I blog for the readers I have already (about 1,000 per day), so if I don’t get invited to be a Bee, things will be okay. It would be fun, though. 🙂
Good luck, ladies!

@Jeannine @ Small Chic:
demographic factors really don’t affect applications, it is really about your writing and telling your story! Good luck with your applications! I remember the waiting (and being rejected the first time I applied) and it was brutal! Just be yourself on your blog and love writing it!

@Jeannine @ Small Chic: Oh I’m so happy you made it. Congratulations!!!! I can’t wait to read about all your DIYs! I may high jack an idea or two.
I’m assuming I’m a no go by now. It’s been 4 weeks and I haven’t heard a peep. I think my no news, is now bad news.
Anyway, I still love the hive either way and i intend to keep coming back.

I just submitted my application today… it’s so nervewracking. I don’t know how I’m supposed to survive a month.
Good Luck ladies!

I just finished the rough draft of my application last night, and plan on finishing it up today so I can submit tomorrow, which is my 7 month mark! Good luck to all you ladies! I’m kind of hoping that since the holidays will be so busy I won’t notice if it takes a few weeks to hear back!
