Good for you!! I think it's awesome that you are working on yourself by taking classes, ect. And who dosen't like to eat straight out of the container....lol.
Congratulations! Yeah, I feel Mermaideve deserves the heartiest of kudos for doing what a lot of women should have the courage to do. Maybe lots of us should put this one on our fridge! Though I'm married, it's always a challenge to maintain a balance between couple-hood (!) and independence. For me, sometimes I think I have too much of the latter, but maybe TMI for this reply (lol).
I am happy that you are happy in your new place and that you've made the right decision for you and your relationship.
It's also great to see that you're taking a few classes and doing things for YOU!!! I definitely agree with your daughter in that you should be focused on being happy rather than being married. You have to be happy before you can truly make someone else happy, and you have to love yourself before someone else can really love you.
Let us know how your classes are! I bet the stand up comedy class will be fun!
I am SO proud of you! (((hug)))
When I lived alone, my favorite thing used to be turning off all the lights except for the little one over the stove or maybe a lit candle, listening to music, and drinking a glass of red wine before bed.
Something tells me -- with your attitude, you'll be engaged before you know it, if not to your 'car custody' sweetheart than to another who has to have you, right here, right now!
That's awesome! I know you'll reflect back on this someday and be glad you took the time to be independent and make yourself happy.

Well I moved about 3 weeks ago. We are doing so much better. We have weekly dates when we change custody of the car, and those are really nice. Over all our communication is better.
I have to admit being able to eat out of the container and watch TV whenever I want is a big bonus. I really love my place. I have my two cats, the older one is perfect as always and the younger one is still doing some "marking" to show his distress.
When I told my daughter I was moving out, she said, "Mom, you've got to focus on being happy, instead of on being married." Since I don't have to worry about slighting bf on my free time, I am taking a standup comedy class and a women in transitions class that start next week at the community college. I am happy!
