This is my first post on here. Everytime I would google a question I seem to get the peace I need after reading a forum on here!
So, my SO and I have been together for about 2 years, living together for a little over a year. We have spoken about being engaged, married and all of that, & I am sure I’ve brought up the whole engagement thing way too much. Anyway, about two weeks ago we went to Tiffany’s to look at rings. (he asked that we go together because he truly is oblivious and doesn’t own any jewelry himself so wouldn’t know what to get). While there, I fell head over heels for a Tiffany Soleste ring. We went back earlier this week so that I can try on the Tiffany Soleste in a bigger carat size that the SA brought in. I liked the slightly bigger center stone so that the double halos don’t look like they are “compensating” & he would like for me to get a good quality ring. So, I told him I would leave the rest to him because I honestly felt so embarrassed to say anything in front of the SA lady because he and I did not speak about a budget.
yesterday, as I was cleaning the house an email popped up on his computer and it was from the Tiffanys Sales lady! They agreed to meet today at 1:30 ;)))) I checked my email a few minutes ago and at 3:30 she sent ME an email asking for my ring size because she mistakenly handed it bac. To me with her business card. She stated that she was reviewing her notes for whenever my boyfriend came back to visit.
Im just dying to know if this means he possibly purchased my ring??? I have no one else to speak to about this because I’ve probably spoken about being engaged a bit too much already.
sorry for the super long post.

Jsanabria: It’s coming! But try your hardest to be patient… some ladies who know this much about the ring wait anywhere from a week, to several weeks, to even several months! It’s unfortunate because waiting is the WORST.
I’ve been waiting since March when I got my ring sized, but my design demands are pretty detailed, so my SO had to get it custom-made. He’s only finally getting my set in the mail (one ring 2 weeks ago, still waiting for the other).
This site helps so much! Vent on here! There are so many Waiting Bees in the same position, so we understand. We’re here for you!

Sorry about the formatting issue… I was using the mobile site and it screwed it all up.

Thank you, so much. Im just so very excited at the thought of him actually purchasing it!!! He got me floor tickets to a concert for my birthday (July), the concert is on October 4th, and we also have a week-long trip to Mexico in November so Im hoping he proposes during any of those events. He is just so hard to read sometimes, but I know him enough that I am sure it will be sometime this year!!! & yes waiting is the WORST!!!

Jsanabria: That is so wonderful! It’s good that you have dates further out that you can wait for. Congratulations on your future engagement 🙂

Eeek! Waiting is the hardest part! I found the receipt for my engagement ring (woops!). It was torture knowing he had bought it and every time we went anywhere I was ready lol I found the receipt in may And he didn’t propose until July! my advice would be to try not to over think it and just enjoy being together!
congrats you’re almost there!

Eeeek how exciting! I suggest trying to remain calm and just enjoy the fact that it’ll eventually happen and it’s something he’s serious about. It’s great that he involved you as far as getting to know what style design you like, but then also just taking it into his own hands to get the ball rolling. It’s romantic to me (I’ve been with my guy for 7 years and there’s no such thing as the element of surprise…we talk about the design process, budget, financing, etc almost everyday lately). The less you obsess, the more you’ll be able to just enjoy those events in the upcoming months without feeling tortured, disappointed at certain small opportunities, etc.

Thank you, ladies!!! He came home from work last night & I casually mentioned how the Tiffanys lady emailed me, & he said I don’t have a thing to worry about. He is honestly the sweetest man.
