I'm curious, how long did it take to start getting in RSVP's after you mailed them out? Also, if you included an online/email rsvp option, how long did it take?

We sent invites out earlier this week and so far have received one e-mail RSVP. (We included a response card and self-addressed envelope, and on the info card also included told them to either mail that in or to e-mail us at our wedding email address)

I'm already getting sorta impatient! lol

Well we got starting getting them about two days after we sent them out.  And have consistently gotten them everyday since then.  BUT!  our due date is on Wed and we still have 120 people we're waiting on!  We have received about 160.  So at least thats more than half, but unless we get a TON between now and Wed...we'll be making a lot of phone calls. People SUCK at RSVPs.  It's so redic because we make it SOOOOO easy for them and they just can't stick it in the mail!!  Good luck!!

I started getting some the first week.  You can try calling people and asking them if they got the invitations and asking them after that if they would like to come.  I've done that for some people that don't culturally know that you're supposed to send an RSVP back and assume that you'll know they are coming.

I got some within the first few days and alot more within 1-2 weeks of mailing them. We are still waiting on about half of them but our deadline is not until June 1st.  I have my family call a few people to make sure they got the invites though because we had a really bad test mailing (it was sent to my parents house destroyed) but everyone got them perfect in the mail.  Im sure well still be calling some people though.  And Im sure there is a bunch of people who have said they are going or booked their hotel and assume we know its a yes but I still want the card that says yes!

We mailed ours on a Sunday afternoon and received the first RSVP cards the following Wednesday... so about three days.

Well, we sent them out on Wednesday...so far we have gotten 2 RSVP's by e-mail but no cards yet.

I'm thinking we may end up with a lot of family and close friends that have verbally said they would be there and might think they don't need to actually 'physically' RSVP...

We got a wave of early RSVPs a few days after we sent them, but have now hit a wall of no RSVPs for a few days. I think that there are some people who deal with stuff right away, but I know that in the past I've gotten the invite, torn it open, read through everything, and then didn't bother dealing with the RSVP for like a week or two. So mad at myself now--because I am so antsy to get more! I wouldn't read too much into it.

We didn't provide RSVP envelopes, we asked people to RSVP online on our wedding website. (We couldn't fathom the thought of receiving a bunch of mail- the wedding website makes it easy to download onto an excel spreadsheet for us).

The first week we sent out invites we received 10 RSVP's, and more are trickling in each week.

We just love how we get an email alert telling us instantaneously that someone RSVP'd to our wedding. So convenient.

I got the first one back, an immediate "no", in a few days. Some guests who I knew were coming sent their replies in after a week.

We didn't have an email option.

Some people that we knew were coming STILL haven't their cards in -- I guess they just needed a free stamp? -- and others, like FSIL, sent hers in very close to our deadline.

I don't think you can determine whether you'll get a lot of guests or declines based on the response time, but I certainly understand wanting to know and hear back soon!

Yeah....we sent them out Wednesday, as of this morning we've received 3 RSVP's via our e-mail option - 2 yes's and 1 no....we really thought that giving 2 options (response card by mail or email) would mean we'd get a bunch of email rsvp's right away....so I'm a little worried!

We've been planning for about 100 people or so but...at this rate I'm kinda wondering how many we'll actually end up with. Our reception space is actually kind of large and I'm worried it will look really empty in there if we do have a smaller amount of people come....

Any creative ideas on how to 'fill up the space' in case this happens? I'm attaching a photo of the reception area-
