@Monroe87:  Welcome to the Bee! Congrats, sounds like you won’t be waiting for long! It’s great that you chose two rings – that way you know you’ll love the ring AND you still get a surprise 🙂

@Monroe87:  Ohhhhh, this part of the waiting makes you crazy.  I know it makes no sense but once you know it’s coming it’s even more (I don’t know the word, anxiety isn’t quite right, but that’s the way it feels) excited, anxious, discombobulated, coming out of your skin.  Whatever.  I know my ring is supposed to be completed around the 20th.  I go from swings of wild excitement and exhilaration to weird moments (OK, hours) of anxiety about him holding on to it for months until the “perfect” moment.  I would die.  I know he knows that.  I didn’t say the anxiety was rational, just that it pops up every now and then.

So, I guess I’m reassuring both of us, that 99% of men get that ring on your finger pretty quickly once its in their hand and that this is sooooo exciting.

I was kissing SOs face last night, forehead, cheek, nose, and he asked what I was doing.  I replied “kissing my boyfriend’s nose”.  He replied all fake affronted “your boyfriend???”.  I told him yes, boyfriend, until you change that situation and we both burst out laughing.

Best of luck to you.  Did you take pictures of the two rings you liked?  I’d love to see them!

Haha, awe. Congratulations! Sounds like we are in similar waiting situations.  What rings did you pick out?

HI!!  Welcome to the waiting hive!

How exciting–looks like you will be getting a proposal soon Smile

We have two tools on this website to help us channel our excitement about the upcoming proposals (because it IS an exciting life change!!), the waiting chant, stickied at the top of the waiting hive, and the shut it up pact..because sometimes men sit on a ring for a bit and we don’t know why–and yest it can drive you crazy!!

Congrats!

I am in the same boat as you – I am 99.9% sure the ring is picked out and in the house and now my waiting excitement/anxiety is out of control, it feels so much harder to wait than it did before he had the ring. Hopefully neither of us have to wait too much longer though 🙂

@Monroe87:  So funny reading this post. Its so identical to my situation it is as if I wrote it myself! Smile  I felt the same way that life was grand until SO started asking me what was my size and what kind of ring do I want.  I feel like he shouldn’t have even asked all of that unless he was ready to give it to me within a month TOPS!  LOL! It’s going on ONE YEAR AGO since he first asked me those questions!!! Yell Needless to say, the past year I’ve been a waiting bee has been a nerve wrecking one to say the least. So ready to be an engaged bee! In the meantime, Welcome to the Bee and hope our wait ends soon!
