Hi waiting bees.
Just an update for you, but mainly for me to moan a little tiny bit.
I was away this weekend on a course, and obviously left my SO at home. He was planning to take a friend to our nearest shopping centre and get some Christmas presents for me.
I got a phonecall later saying he’d been stopped by the police for speeding!
He got a fine and some points on his licence. (Sorry if this is only understanded by UK Bees)
The fine isn’t too much, but wasn’t in the plan tbh.
I’m a bit annoyed because the fine was equal to the budget we had set for Christmas presents for each other.
Also, following trying on rings a few weeks ago, I kind of was hoping he’d be buying one soon and keeping it safe – guess not! 🙁
BUT the ring I tried on has an additional 20% of the sale price! ARGH.
Sorry for the rant lol.

@RhianfaHW: sorry to hear he had to get pulled over – what a pain! 🙁 hang in there, maybe he will still get it, you never know!

FI just got a speeding ticket in a construction zone, it cost $1000 to get it off his record because he has a CDL. No one was even working, ugh! But I’d be pissed if that set back my ring!

@RhianfaHW: That’s annoying. Hang in there!

sorry that sucks, anyway he can take it to court? my brother got points and a fine for getting in an accident he went to court to fight it and the judge told the courtroom that if they just admitted it was there fault he’d drop the points and the fine.

UGH…sorry to hear about this. Hopefully he can get it paid off soon–and maybe it’ll be on sale for even cheaper in the future!

Well that IS a pain. Did he not get the chance to take the points and fine or a Speed Awareness Course?

No, he didn’t get the option to take the course, just a fine and 3 points – naughty boy was going a bit fast lol!
It’s paid off now, just three years with the points on his licence *le sigh* oh shit the insurance is going to be so high! D:
Yeah, so the fine wasn’t so bad, but the insurance will be.
I might go and buy a lottery ticket…

@RhianfaHW: Maybe I’m confused, but it seems like his Christmas present should be you paying his fines and him still buying you a gift…just my two cents.

@jadlnc: +1 he screwed up, it should impact his gifts not hers!
