What a good idea!! I’ll roll call, even though my projects seem just as far away as TTC!

ROLL CALL!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? Waiting to TTC

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? July 2015

Age? 27

What project have you started or are planning to start? Since I have so long to wait, I have a few projects- some small, some major! First on my list is to create a photobook for our trip that we just returned from.

When would you like to be done with this project? Hopefully sometime in the next few weeks (before Labor Day)

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? Oh, so many!!! 1) Help plan DH’s sister’s wedding and my brother’s wedding and wedding events (both weddings are next summer and I’m in both), 2) POSSIBLY (in the winter) start a 12 month program to get another endorsement on my teaching certificate 3) Full first floor demo and remodel including our kitchen, living room, and dining room (to begin in May 2015)

Any pictures of the work in progress? No pictures of progress, but I’ll happily share a picture of my dream kitchen and dream living room that I’m hoping to do! (I’m very handy and so are my 4 brothers and Dad, so we’ll be doing about 90% of the work ourselves).

Waiting to TTC/TWW?

We are waiting to TTC

How long until you TTC (if applicable)?

We will be starting in December 2014

Age?

I am 25, will be 26 by the time we are TTC.  DH is 29.

What project have you started or are planning to start?

I am building a garden and green house

When would you like to be done with this project?

We are hoping to have all the construction side of things done before next spring and the full garden complete before baby arrives next year some time.

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)?

It’s not really a project, but DH and I want to go on a back packing trip as a bit of a baby moon since that’s one type of vacation that wont be very possible when we have a little one for a while.

Any pictures of the work in progress?

It’s not really a picture of the in-progress, but it is the plan!

This sounds fun!  Even though I’m TTC, I’ll join!

ROLL CALL!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? TWW, (I’ve found in TTC, you are constantly on a TWW though!)

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? I’m TTC, but if nothing happens by October-ish we might have to go back to waiting for a bit.

Age? 31

What project have you started or are planning to start? Remodeling our kitchen has been our biggest one!  This summer we gutted it and started over (exept for the major appliances).  I’m also trying to get me wedding album put together, after two years of marriage, and also our wedding guest book quilt.

When would you like to be done with this project? We’d like to get most of the kitchen done by the end of summer, but we know some stuff is going to end up getting done in the fall (tile backsplash!) As far as my wedding projects, I really want to get these done by the end of August.  I start student teaching in September, and I fear nothing will get done once I start.

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? I would LOVE to put together our second bedroom as a nursery, but I don’t want to jump the gun on that one!

Any pictures of the work in progress?  So many.  but I’ll just share a few!

Before

In progress.  (I finished putting up the hardware since this one)

Before

After

I have a pic of my quilt somewhere, but I can’t find it.

juliette.eliza:  I love your garden plans!  I started a veggie garden this spring, and I would love to add to it next year.

candy11:  Big thumbs up for finally working on our wedding albums!

Such a great idea for a thread!

ROLL CALL!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? TTC

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? We’ll start TTC in May 2015

Age? 28

What project have you started or are planning to start? I started a queen-size quilt two years ago!

When would you like to be done with this project? In two weeks!

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? I want to start another quilt after this one for my new niece or nephew – that quilt will need to be done by April.

Any pictures of the work in progress? This is what I currently have done of the quilt top – it’s too big to lay out anywhere so it’s awkwardly draped over my dining room table and two chairs

ruby26:  Haha, ditto with the recipe book! But then it’d probably just sit on the counter and gather dust, lol. I need to be better at cooking and finding new easy things to try.

ROLL CALL!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? Waiting to TTC, so TTA

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? December 2014

Age? 26…will be 27 in January

What project have you started or are planning to start? I started painting two older/ruined living room tables yesterday. A coffee table and a side table. I’m painting them both black to go with the rest of my livingroom black wood pieces. Today I painted the first coat of black and they will need a few more before they’re done.

When would you like to be done with this project? By this week. Only a few more days/coats of paint are needed so maybe Wednesday or Thursday they’ll be complete!

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? I’d like to paint a few walls in our extra bedroom/office/future nursery. My parents are finishing their basement and have some extra light blueish/greyish paint I’d love to use in the nursery. I’m just not sure if I can talk DH into doing that before TTC. I guess if he wants my help painting with the fumes it’s better to do it before we get pregnant.

Any pictures of the work in progress? I’ll update with before and afters when my project is done!

ROLL CALL!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? Waiting to TTC

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? Fall 2015

Age? I turn 24 next month, DH turns 25 in November

What project have you started or are planning to start? I’m currently working on our wedding guest book quilt (full size) as well as a quilt for our niece that is due at the end of September!

When would you like to be done with this project? The quilt for our niece needs to be done within the next month. Our wedding guest book quilt, I would like done by November so we can use it in our Christmas card photo!

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? I would also like to build a photo wall in our living room now that we have our wedding picture and build a wedding photo album that does our amazing pictures justice 🙂

Any pictures of the work in progress? Not available!

Waiting to TTC/TWW? Waiting to TTC

How long until you TTC (if applicable)? Pushed back our start date to next summer,

Age? 21, DH turns 23 Saturday

What project have you started or are planning to start? Complete kitchen renovation, we are hoping to finish in the next two weeks! Finishing up my scrapbooks, I’ve made one every year since freshman year of high school, a few months behind now with the wedding! And we’re planning a few more trips before TTC, hopefully Mexico again this winter! Then just cleaning out the office/guest room of all wedding gifts/decor. And just focusing on my master’s program, especially clinicals

When would you like to be done with this project? Kitchen hopefully next week, scrapbooking will be ongoing, office/guestroom will hopefully be done on my 3 weeks summer break I start today! woo! And we want to book at least two more trips before next summer.

Future project ideas you have in mind (if any)? More renovations for the entryway and backyard, getting the office all ready to be a nursery! and the rest of my time will probably be studying unfortunately

Any pictures of the work in progress? Not yet, but maybe some before and afters when the kitchen’s done!

auggiefrog:  Great job!!! I love the higher cabinets and extra storage space you’ve added. How long has it taken you to work on it? I’m trying to figure out how long to expect our remodel to take.

MrsN14:  I love kitchen renos; can’t wait to see your before and afters!

FreckledFox:  Haha, I love pinterest! I took those pictures from my board ;-). I have probably 40 pictures of white cabinets, dark counters, gray backsplashes, and wood floors!

MrsFairyBee:  Sometimes I wonder how good of a mother I’ll make because at least twice a week the only dinner I can manage is a bowl of cereal. How can I sufficiently nourish another human being? Every year I resolve to cook more and it just doesn’t last. DH is an excellent cook, but often gets home too late to make dinner so I end up scrambling together some pasta or salad. Maybe if I start a recipe book I’ll feel more confident as I fill it up? It’s worth a shot! Let’s add it to our lists!! 🙂

juliette.eliza:  Wow!! Your garden plan is inspiring! Ours is a total mess, but still produces some veggies… It’s been a goal of mine for years to make it more organized. Your plan may have motivated me to at least make my own plan!

arielmerms:  Your quilt is impressive!! Great job!

ruby26:  We have been working on it since the end of June. But we really had a LOT of work to do! Also, we have done all of the work ourselves with the help of frinds and family.

When we started my DH took a week and a half off from work.  (I’m not working this summer due to various reasons, so I was around as well.)  During that time we demoed the kitchen (including an old plaster celling that was badly damaged and covered up by a drop celling!), re-wired the kitchen (old wiring), installed recessed lighting, drywalled the celling, removed two layers of old flooring, and painted.  I think we put the new flooring in too, but I can’t remember.

Since then we have been working on the kitchen some nights and during the weekends.  A week or two after that we put in the upper cabinets, and some of the lowers.  This weekend we installed new windows, and are almost done installing the biggest peice of countertop.  And I swear there is much more that we’ve gotten done.   We plan on installing the countertop and finishing up most of the trim this summer.

Over the fall we are going to work on the tile backsplash and replace the door.

Good luck on your pending remodel.  It is a lot of work, but definatey worth it.
