Roll Call!

Age/DH’s age: 27/ 30

When will you TTC?: July 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: prenatal vitamins (I actually set a daily alarm so that I remember to take it more than once a week), doing lots of reading on getting my body ready preconception, finishing up my prebaby bucket list

Do you chart? Link to the chart: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/ruby26

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I always thought I’d have kids around 28 because that’s when my mom got pregnant with me. It worked out well that when I’m 28 I’ll actually be financially ready for a baby; I just hope I’m also emotionally ready by next year!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 28, he’s 27

When will you TTC?: Most likely February, but hopefully sooner. DH would rather just have a surprise. He doesn’t want to have to really try. That thought scares him I think.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Getting my health in order is the biggest thing. We really want to do a few things done around the house like new kitchen countertops and put in the drop ceiling to finish off our basement. We also need to get another car. We’re currently surviving on one and it’s making me crazy.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Nope, still on the pill.

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I never really wanted kids until DH and I had been together for a few years (going on 8 now). Now the baby rabies are in full swing.

Yay! I finally get to join. 🙂

Age/DH’s age: Both 34

When will you TTC?: Hopefully by November, but that’s up to our fertility specialist to decide

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: eating paleo, losing weight, taking our vitamins, adding CoQ10 in September, and charting to get the best info. for the specialist

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Yep, but no link

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I had DS when I was 18 and didn’t want kids at that point. Yes, I know that statement doesn’t make sense. I finally got the baby bug at 33. Mr. LK finally got the baby bug 2 months ago.

Age/DH’s age: 25/25

When will you TTC?: April 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Still taking prenatals, trying to get into a regular workout routine, finally getting hormones under control, and eating better (with the hopes of losing a few more lbs!)

Do you chart? Link to the chart: yep, just no link

When did you know you wanted to have kids? A couple of years ago when I was told by an R.E. that it was very likely that I will have trouble conceving/may not be able to carry/hold a pregnancy. I hadn’t really given future children a thought until I was put in the situation where I was worried that I may not get to have children.

Age/DH’s age: I’ll be 36 next month. My husband is 37.

When will you TTC?: October, 2014

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I’ve been taking prenatals since January or February, and this should be my last month on BCP. We are working on selling my house from when I was single, and we currently have it under contract! We’re also trying to eat healthier and exercise more.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Nope! I don’t plan to unless we have issues.

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I’ve always known. It was the main thing I played about when I was little. I always thought I’d have them in my late 20s though.

My husband comes from a more difficult family background, and it’s been a lot harder for him to make that leap. He’s still working on it.

Age/DH’s age: 25/24

When will you TTC?: October 2014

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Taking prenatals, running every other day, started drinking green smoothies for breakfast, generally eating healthy, charting, reading TCOYF and researching like a crazy person. We also just bought a house in March and have been saving money for quite some time. DH has a great job that will allow me to be a SAHM.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Yes, but on paper

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I have always wanted kids! I grew up in a really big extended family. My dad has 4 siblings so my sister and I are the oldest of 11 grandchildren. Holidays were always so much fun with all of us, and until I was 14 years old a new baby cousin would arrive just about every 1-2 years. I have always loved babies and children! When I DH and I started dating 8 years ago we both agreed we wanted at least 3 children, and we wanted to have them young. Now that the time is finally almost here to TTC, I am beyond excited, DH is beyond terrified, but we are both totally ready for this next stage in our lives!

RunnerBride13: Thanks for starting a new thread and taking the list over!! We all appreciated it 🙂

Age/DH’s age: We both are turning 30 in December!

When will you TTC?: October 2014

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I`ve been taking my regular vitamin supplements as usual but added on extra folic acid a month or so ago. I bought TCOYF a few weeks ago and have been reading it off and on.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Just sort of starting. Mostly just monitoring CM and other symptons, no temping yet. I don`t think I will start temping until we have been trying for a little while.

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I have always wanted a family, but the number of kids always changes. Right now, me and my DH are on the same page with just having 1 kid, but everyone says that once you have one, you will want another, so we`ll see!

Also – anyone taking folic acid notice that your nails are stronger? I was looking at my nails the other day and thinking that they looked pretty good. Normally my nails crack and split pretty easily. I had no clue why until I saw someone post that they were taking folic acid to help with nail and hair growth. When I goggled it, turns out it can help with that which is why my nails look awesome! lol Well they did until a few days ago, when we moved and I essentially broke every single nail lifting and unpacking boxes!

RunnerBride13: Thanks for starting a new thread!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 26 and FI is 36

When will you TTC?: Hopefully straight after the wedding so October 2014. According to FF my FW will be while we are on our honeymoon!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Started taking pre-natal vitamins last month but they seem to be upsetting my belly so will probably have a weeks break and just take folic acid. It felt like such a huge step deciding to take pre-natals, like we were consciously decided to start TTC soon. I was so scared!! How silly is that?!

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I use FF to track EWCM and my AF. I don’t want to start temping straight away because it stresses me out. Plus the one month I did temp just to figure out what was going on I HATED having to wake up the same time every morning. 7am is fine on a weekday but on a Saturday?!?!?

When did you know you wanted to have kids? Lots of silly things showed me I was ready. Being drawn to new baby clothes rather than new stuff for myself. Being jealous of every pregnant woman I saw/read about. Counting down the days not until the wedding but until it was “ok” for us to TTC. Starting a nursery board on Pinterest- it’s my new secret hobby… shhhhh!

Me me!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 32, my husband is 34.

When will you TTC?: July 2015. He wants to wait til next summer and I want to start before I turn 33 on July 20 2015 (mental hurdle!), so we’ll start late June or July.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Working on getting in really good shape so I can bounce back from pregnancy, saving money, cementing habits like getting out every weekend together to be active so we can continue that with a little one, reducing my booze and caffeine consumption a bit.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: No but I think I’ll start in December or January.

When did you know you wanted to have kids? I was fairly pretty sure I did, and my husband was always fairly sure he didn’t… we got together as teenagers and that’s not really a dealbreaker at that age, lol. It took us a long time to get it figured out, which is partly why we didn’t get married until 12 years into our relationship. He’s now on board and I know he’ll be an amazing father, so we’re lucky we were able to come to an agreement.
