Thanks for starting a new thread. 🙂

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: Both 34

When will you TTC?: November 2014!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: We’re both eating healthy (paleo with low-carb)taking our vitamins, and losing weight. We have severe MFI issues, and Mr. LK is set for surgery in October to (hopefully) correct the issue and enable us to TTC.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: It’s my 2nd cycle charting. http://FertilityFriend.com/home/lovekiss

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I am a public policy analyst working on health care issues. Mr. LK has a dual role, handling IT and physical security. It’s a strange combo, but it works for him. We will both continue working full time after adding to our family, and plan to hire a nanny for childcare. Some women are made to be SAHMs. I am not one of them. I love my career.

Yay a new thread!

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: I’m 26, he’s 23

When will you TTC?: December 2014! EEEPPP!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I’m starting prenatals tomorrow, and have gone off the pill.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Not yet!

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a systems coordinator, and DH works as an overnight stocker. He will be staying at home with baby, which was a very very hard decision for us to make. It’s always been my dream to be a SAHM, but there’s no way we could live on just his income, where we could on mine. We talked about it extensively, thought, and this is the best choice for our family (le sigh).

Whoo hoo!

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: Both 29

When will you TTC?: October 2014!!! Only 1 more cycle to go!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: vitamins, generally trying to keep healthy, read most of TCOYF

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Starting to chart more stuff. Just not doing temping yet, but have been charting CF and will probably try CP this cycle.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a records analyst/archivist and my Dh is in health research. We both have to work after kids because I don’t think we could afford not to. Although I think I would like to be a SAHM.

DH is still a little leary of our October date, lol. He agreed to October but when I told him it would actually be the last week of Sept-early October when I’d O, he got scared again and was hoping for all of October. haha I don’t know what the difference is honestly, but it seems to matter to him. So, I’m not going to bring it up again, but if he really wants to wait those 4 extra weeks, then I can wait. BUT, he better get totally on board after that!!

Roll call info:

Age/DH’s age: I’m 26, he’s 33

When will you TTC?: No set date, but I am hoping for either June 2016 or June 2017 (always cold, so I want to be big in the winter!)

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Charting/barriers to TTA rather than the pill, and getting married haha

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I use a paper chart but I’ve transfered the data to http://www.tcoyf.com/members/Peanut8811/charts/1.aspx

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: We’re both attorney’s – I’m about to be unemployed as my contract is ending next week & I’m moving out of state where I have not yet found a job, he’s a public defender. I will probably work part-time after the babies come (either non-legal field or just pick up a few cases here and there as a sole practitioner). I’ve kind of always wanted to be a pre-school teacher, at least since I was ~19, but felt like I couldn’t because I was attending an expensive prestigious university, so I went to law school… and wasted more money and prestige, because I still want to teach pre-school! I’d definitely make more of a difference than I do as a lawyer, and I hope to make the switch when we have kids if not sooner 🙂 FI hates being an attorney more than I do, so I might end up sticking with it so we can afford for him to get out, however 🙁

Well after agreeing on the honeymoon to start in August and going back and forth all summer, we both agreed it would be best to wait a bit. DH thought we would start trying in January (idk where he got that idea..) but that would make me due sometime during my master’s program which would be inconvient, so we will start trying next summer. Recently all our friends and family that got married this year are now pregnant, including people in my master’s program (the reason we’re waiting) which is making it very difficult. I’ve had a few breakdowns and am starting to feel like a crazy person. I’m trying so hard to be happy for everyone, but it’s been hard. Thankfully DH is supportive although I think I drive him crazy sometimes. I feel we are in a much better position than a lot of people who are pregnant but that’s not really my business. Sorry for the rant lol I am officially back waiting to TTC, please add me to August 2015, ugh that seems an enternity away.

Age/DH’s age: I’m 21, he’s 23

When will you TTC?: August 2015

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Nothing now. Going off the pill in like March then will chart and take prenatals

Do you chart? Not yet, will start next spring

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: He is a crop specialist (selling seed, chemical, fertilizer to farmers) and works on his family farm. I am a preschool teacher and full time graduate student getting my master’s in speech language pathology. We will both keep working because my mom is minutes away and stays home so she will be full time child care, but I’ll hopefully only be working 3 days a week once we have two kids.

RunnerBride13: Thanks for starting the new thread! Can you move me from October to January? Thanks!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 28, DH is 32

When will you TTC?: January 2015? Maybe?

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Prenatals, working out, eating better, stopped taking BCP

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I charted for a bit, but since we’re not actively trying I just monitor my CM to get an idea of where I am in my cycle. I’ll go back to charting when we’re ready to start trying. 🙂

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: DH is a software developer and works from home. I work for a property management company doing all sorts of random things. He is going to keep working, it’s undecided what I’ll be doing. I don’t love my job and the pay is pretty terrible. We’ve talked about me going back part-time or possibly going back to school for a career change. It’s all kind of far in the future and we’re taking this time to weigh our options. For right now, I’m just gonna keep doin’ what I do.

We have some friends visiting us from out of town this weekend so I won’t really be able to check in. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

 • Wedding: February 2014

Thanks for starting a new thread!

Age/DH’s age: I’m 28, he’s 27.

When will you TTC?: Hopefully in February.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Hopefully fixing some messed up cycle stuff I’ve got going on, exercising, and eating better.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Not yet. Still on the pill. I want off of it sooner than later though.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m an administrative assistant and DH is in IT as a system administrator. Unless DH gets a job that actually pays him what a system admin should be getting paid then we’ll both have to keep working. I’ve been at my job for nearly 10 years though, and have major job security, so I’m sure they’d be fine with me working a bit less if need be.

Age/DH’s age: both 25

When will you TTC?: April 2015, but we’ve been tossing around the idea of moving it up to February (!!!) because we would love a fall or winter baby!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Taking prenatals, eating healthy, training for 2 half marathons (one in October, another in January) and saving, saving, saving to hopefully buy a house this winter or spring!

Do you chart? Link to the chart: I chart on paper and only use FF to track cycle days.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: DH is an engineer and I’m a proofreader and office manager at a law firm, I really don’t enjoy my job.. at all. We have talked about me staying home after we have a baby, but that will depend on what house we buy and what additional expenses we will acquire. I would really like to go back to school at some point to get my teaching certificate and DH is on board with that as long as I try to substitute teach while I’m taking classes for those 12-18 months.

Age/DH’s age: I’m 23 (will be 24 next month) and FI is 26 (will be 27 next month)

When will you TTC?: We are planing to go off the pill in March 2015 after our wedding and just let what happens happen. If after a year we still haven’t had luck from just nature taking course, we will sit down and actively chart and such.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: staying healthy by working out, when the time comes I will take prenatal vitamins, going off BC.
Do you chart? Link to the chart: Not yet.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I am a medical laboratory technologist and FI is the Director and Chief of security of his IT department for the same company I work for (how we met). We are planning on having me stay home when the babies are young and before school which we should be able to and live comfortably on his income alone. However I’m contemplating on working part time also.

Age/DH’s age: I’m 35, will be 36 in a month. He’s 37.

When will you TTC?: We’re still on track for October. If he’s still feeling too nervous though, I think I’d be okay with waiting until November.

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: I’ve been taking prenatals since February, and I’m planning on this being the last month on BCP. We’re trying to be healthier in general. I’m still working through grad school, which has been the major factor on timing. We’re also trying to push my old house through the short sale process so that we only have 1 mortgage to worry about.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Nope. I don’t plan to unless we try unsuccessfully for a few months.

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?:
I’m an IT trainer, and right now he’s managing an IT department. He hasn’t been too happy with his job lately, so he may look for something else soon. I will continue to work once we have a kid, since my job is really family-friendly and I have great benefits, which we’re both on right now.

Age/DH’s Age: 29/28

When will you TTC? I go off my birth control TODAY!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC? I just started taking folic acid and charting. My husband and I are starting our next round of the 21 Day Fix on Monday. I have maybe 20 lbs to lose. Eating clean will also help me eliminate a lot of the symptom spotting, since most of my heartburn, migraines, etc are food-related.

Do you chart? Yes, but no link.

What do you and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids? I’m a wedding photographer and my husband is in marketing/web design. At this point, I don’t think we could survive on his income alone, so I’ll keep working the best I can. Thankfully, my job allows me to work from home, and my days out are all Saturdays, so my husband can watch the baby while I’m gone. Pumping, however, during a 10 hour wedding day may prove to be tricky!

jammer62: Woohoo, no more BC!!! What month will you TTC?

LuckyinLove17: OMG yay, only one more cycle, how exciting for you!!!

nutmeg36: Congrats on getting off the pill. Will you chart while you wait to TTC? (I’m so excited you’re in the Dec. group too!!!)

Roll Call:
Age/DH’s age: We’re both 26

When will you TTC?: December 2014 and so excited!

What are you doing to get ready to TTC?: Taking prenatals since November (I agree the gummies are awesome!) Taking pregnitude to help improve egg quality and help regulate long/irregular cycles. Trying to work out more and get into a better routine. I gained about 8-10 lbs. around the holidays last year and need to get rid of them…they’re very stubborn. We had a surprise pregnancy in June and lost it shortly after at 6 weeks. I would do anything to try to prevent a MC from happening again if I could.

Do you chart? Link to the chart: Yes, I got off the pill in March and started charting immediately after reading TCOYF and love knowing what my body is doing now. http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/mrsfairybee

What do you do and your DH do for a living, and will you both keep working after having kids?: I’m a marketing coordinator and DH is a collegiate recruiter.
