Hi everyone 🙂 I just wanted to share my waiting story! I have been with my bf for two years and found out that he bought me a ring during cyber monday! (He really isn’t good at covering up the evidence haha!) Anyways, yesterday he went to my parents house to “pick up a tool” and was there for three hours!!! I can only guess he was asking for my hand! I have yet to see the ring box, but he left the ribbon on our table when he emptied his pockets and it matches the one from the store I chose a ring from! Hopefully something will come soon!!!

Welcome! That must’ve been one hard to find tool, haha! Good luck with waiting, sounds like you might not have much longer.

How exciting! It doesn’t sound like you will be waiting for much longer!

Wow it sounds like it’s all coming together for you, 3 hours to see your parents to pick up a tool is a very long time! A bit like when my SO tuned in my dads tv, he was gone for nearly 2 hours upstairs for like a 20 minute job – so I have a feeling he asked for my fathers blessing then.
And if you have the evidence that he’s bought a ring, then you can be certain a proposal is coming your way soon 🙂

exciting! Sounds very promising to me! I wonder if he meant to leave the ribbon there on purpose guys have to know that our eyes are peeled and we notice every little sign we can. My fingers are crossed for you.

Aw, it sounds really close– yay! Boys… they just don’t realize how observant we really are 🙂

I am from Ontario too! My Fiance pulled the same story about “Going to get a tool”. Apparently, he was there for 3 hours, was so nervous, and didn’t ask until he was in the garage ready to leave! lol. Must be an Ontario Boy’s excuse to go over to the in-laws house! lol. Mine came about 2 weeks after that…you are close!!! 🙂

Do you actually plan to get married next year, or are you waiting until 2013???

@MrMrs.S: Haha! It must be the “go to” excuse. I just updated but apparently it is coming Christmas Day!!! So EXCITED!!! I am hoping to get married this summer (likely July/August because I am a teacher). We have already talked about wedding size and I think it would only be close family, so under 25 people including us, so hopefully 6-7 months is enough time to plan. I live in Dufferin County (just outside of Toronto) so there are a ton of beautiful park/restaurant venues that would support such a small group for both the wedding and reception. Beyond that, my mom works in a school, his brothers and mom works in a school and my dad is retired, so we certainly don’t have to do a weekend wedding to accomodate those who mean the most to us, so I am HOPING it will be an easy plan.
I see you are waiting until 2013… have you started planning yet?
