Well…we just bought the ring and are planning to be engaged sometime between now and Christmas (probably early November) and what do you know…..I found out I’m pregnant!
It was pretty damn unexpected but we are both thrilled with the news. The only problem is I was planning on getting health insurance starting in January and am feeling pretty stressed about searching for it now. I know we’ll find a good plan and I’m just trying to relax but I’m stressed!!!
It’s funny how finding out I’m pregnant pushed my ring excitement to the very back of my mind.
Just needed to clear my head a little because it’s too early to tell anyone else the news!
This is CRAZY!!!!

A little insurance tip: you may be able to qualify for Medicaid, depending on your income level and the state you live in.
From their website:
Medicaid plays a key role in child and maternal health, financing 40% of all births in the United States. Medicaid coverage for pregnant women includes prenatal care through the pregnancy, labor, and delivery, and for 60 days postpartum as well as other pregnancy-related care.
Check it out here: http://www.medicaid.gov/Medicaid-CHIP-Program-Information/By-Population/Pregnant-Women/Pregnant-Women.html
Also, congrats on the baby!

Congratulations – that’s amazing news!
Before I became “domestically-partnered” and joined my FIs company insurance I had a personal insurance policy through ehealthinsurance.com that was extremely reasonable. I’d be happy to share if you have any ?s
