@MissCalifornia:  Haha. The maintenance guy at our “new” apartment (this was about a year ago) mentioned “my husband” to me, as well. We got engaged something like3 months later. It was kind of funny, because our lease has both of us on it with our deifferent last names. 😀

@MissCalifornia:  Yep! I get that all the time, and I don’t even wear any sort of ring! I love it when it happens. People call us each other’s finace/husband/wife all the time, and we never correct them, since we will be eventually anyways 🙂 I can’t wait to he his wife.

Yes, often! Especially when we are just out at a bar or something. I wear a lot of rings (I guess one that could be mistaken for a wedding ring?) and people often ask how long we’ve been married. Actually… just dating almost five years, not married OR engaged yet! I don’t mind it though. To me it shows that we seem at ease with each other.

YES! Yesterday at a car dealers, he was inquiring about a car and the salesman kept referring to me as his wife, in reality, I was just tagging along with him and this car was for his own purposes. I loved it though. I have had a lot of people at church who don’t know me overly well, ask me about my husband. I have a 3 year old son, and he helps out with him a lot when we’re together so people see him helping with DS and they go ahead and assume that he is my husband and DS’s father. hehehe I will appreciate it a lot more when it’s true!

Oh man, this made me giggle because even my own boyfriend mistakes himself for my husband 😉 I kid you not! Sometimes I let it slide when he says it and sometimes I say something (like the other days) “You don’t have a wide darling, you just have a girlfriend who’s maybe a bit too good for you”

His Dad called me his daughter-in-law today and as much as I always wants to be all “well technically I’m your daughter-in-law-in-theory” I ALWAYS bite my tongue in public. Every single time, because I know their intentions are good and we clearly intend on marrying so I can see how they get a little caught up in it.

No, maybe because I don’t wear any rings. Though recently, he was talking to someone a bit of a distance away from me and I overheard him referring to me as his wife!! Eeek….hurry up with the ring dammit!!!

This has happened so many times. People will just call me his wife and his family will sometimes refer to me as a _____in law. One time it caught me off guard and they said “well you know…you may as well be”…please I haven’t said yes yet (of course I would tho haha!)! We are one entity to our friends and stuff so I mean, I guess we may as well be. I would just like to not feel like it is a lie when I let it slide when people imply we are married. lol I never say anything though…I really don’t like talking so I just smile and nod. SO knows this, too so he goes along with it when it happens when we are both there.

Haha, yes! It feels great so if anyone makes a mistake, I don’t bother correcting them 🙂 Actually, I talked to my SO on the phone while he was at work one day and someone came into his office and he said “hey, man, give me a minute, I’ve got my wife on the phone” 🙂 Of course everyone at the office knows we’re not married yet because they’ve been following our relationship since day 1 – I used to work there too (and I am hoping to come back next year) and we met at the office. Coworkers love to tease my SO about finally asking me to marry him (the only other previously unmarried guy just got married last month) so it’s all good fun. Still feels nice though! 😀
