I'm not a May Bride, but I just wanted to say ... you can do it! It sounds like you took a much needed break from the stress, and now you're ready to get some stuff done! Your wedding is going to be great! :)
Wow, you just gave me a wake up call! I don't have a rain plan either, and I doubt it ever would have occured to me. So thank you (and your future in laws)! But no worries, it sounds like you've got most of the other big stuff done, and I bet you're further ahead of the game than you realize. Good luck!
It can be done but you have a lot of work to do so you better get cracking. My date is May 15th. I still have to :
Mail Invites -today
Get Music for Reception & Ceremony - this month
Fiance's suit - March
Wedding Bands - March
Dress - First fitting Feb 19th
Set up Engagement Photo Session - April
I am sure there is more. I feel your pain Good luck with the venue change

Sorry, there are no users yet.
So this weekend was a huge wake up call for me. Apparently the holidays came and went and I never resumed planning.
I was lovingly informed by my FMIL and FSIL that i need to get my butt in gear. One huge issue was the lack of a back up plan if it rains, since we are planning for an outdoor wedding. There was not easy solution, and I ended up putting it out of my mind for the last 6-7 months. And now we are closer to the wedding, with an ever growing guest list, and our venue (a cottage-esque park pavillion right on Cayuga Lake) just is not big enough. So, a little over 3 months out, we are trying to change venues. I'll have the final word tomorrow, hopefully.
I also hadn't ordered FI's ring, hadn't finished the invitations, hadn't finalized details with our caterer, hadn't even found out if we can have music for the ceremony since the park has a ban on projected music outside. Though I think it won't be a problem since lots of people have been married at the same place.
Is there anything big that you've forgotten or put off longer than you should have? Anyone else make any major last minute changes?
