- Wedding: September 2015
Someone mentioned it in the Pagan boards, but those are so inactive I thought I’d ask here in case a wider range of people have seen it or know anything about it. In the post it was mentioned, the bride was asking about alternatives to a handfasting and someone suggested walking a labyrinth, but didn’t really elaborate. From what I gathered, it seems like either the couple walks 2 halves of the maze separately that leads them to each other and the ceremony begins or at some point, the couple will go and walk the labyrinth together symbolizing their making it through life’s twists and turns together.
I really like this idea, but I couldn’t find much about it. Has anyone done this or seen it done? How was everything set up? Is this actually pagan or just one of the more obscure traditions? We’re having an interfaith ceremony, so I’m trying to find ways to incorporate his faith without scaring my relatives. I think it’s a beautiful sentiment, but I’m just not sure how it’s supposed to work.
