I think your best bet is to time it beforehand and ask the singer to shorten the song if you need to.  Other than that, I think it is ok to stand for a little while (but not sure how long until it seems weird . . .) until the song is finished.

If she’s still singing when you get up there, I think she should just finish the song… people will enjoy it.  Just stand up there with your FI and look into each other’s eyes and enjoy the moment.  Laughing

My sister in law decided to have someone sing her entrance, and it was very awkward.  It doesn’t take hardly any time to walk to the front and it’s a weird situation because guests are standing from your entrance and it can be uncomfortable.  I personally, would save someone singing til mid ceremony, so people really focus on that.  It’s less awkward.  That’s just me though.

I love ddubzz idea personally as long as its not more than a minute long, perhaps keep your favorite verse and the chorus to keep it a suitable length.
