I am walking down to the instrumental live eletrical harp "Evergreen". It was my mother's and father's wedding song, and mine too as I was 4 months in her belly at the time. They divorced when I was 3 years old, and now I'm symbolizing "picking up the pieces and re-writing history" and creating the happily ever after that never came by chosing it as my aisle song. I have never been a fan of the traditional here comes the bride or the over done Pacheabell Canon in D. Your choices sound lovely and they are unique and special to you, that's wonderful. My bridesmaids are walking down to Enya's A day without rain :) So I think it would be wonderful for your bridesmaids to walk down to something different than yours!!! Good luck in your choices!!!
@shannonmykayla: I LOVE Evergreen...lol, so funny that Westlife also covers it. Such an amzing story you have, it amazing that there are real happy endings :) Thanks for sharing. I will think of something nice for my girls.
I think if you pick the right song it would work for your girls and then you. If the song could somehow have a change or become more dramatic when you come in it could work very well.
I had just me walking down a LONG aisle with my brother. We also were having a dinner reception but had decided before downsizing the wedding on a song for our first dance. We got engaged on vacation together and listened to Jason Mraz the whole time, especially "I'm Yours" and it kind of just became our song. So I walked down the aisle to that and it was absolutely perfect for us.
@mandb122: I am planning to walk down to an orchestral version of "I'm Yours"! FI and I listened to that CD on our first date and quite a lot after that--he played it in the car on the way to the dinner where he proposed, too :D. We also consider "Lucky" our song, so that will be our first dance. What other music did you use? I haven't figured anything else out. . .
@Keltaena and mandb122: I'm yours is such a sweet song :) Lol, I was thinking to sell my FI on LuckY as the song we enter the reception with- but the Glee version! Love Love Love the Glee version- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Tt2u-S7NTs
DH's parents, his grandma, and my mom were all part of the processional. They all walked down to the same song as my BMs - The Ludlows from Legends of the Fall (inspired by Mrs Hamster!!). Then I walked down to Canon in D!
We had a short aisle too and I considered using the same song for me and my BM, but when I heard the other song, I wanted to incorporate it into our ceremony somehow, which is why split up the music and included the family in the processional.
Other music: The Prayer by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli for the signing of the register, and Everything by Michael Buble for the recessional (all of the music on piano).
@Keltaena: We only had two songs at our ceremony because it was such a small wedding. I took almost the whole time to walk down the aisle to "I'm Yours" because my aisle was so long. For the recessional my mother actually dedicated a song to us in honor of my grandmother who passed away when I was 14 and I would have given anything for her to be there. So we recessed to "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra who was my grandmother's favorite singer/celebrity of all time.
Since FH is Catholic, we were very limited. I just went with Here Comes the Bride, since it's the only song I could really visualize.
I am walking down the aisle to My Wish by Rascal Flatts, super excited about it.
radiohead "no surpises", adapted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pFhctBg9MY
I walked down the aisle to a bluegrass band playing an instrumental version of "Here, there and everywhere" by the Beatles.
@FlutterbyBee: Awww that sounds like it will be really pretty.
We went the traditional route for the wedding. I'm walking to Trumpet Tune in D. We decided to use music to help with the flow of the day. For us this means using classical for the ceremony, jazz during dinner (lots of Glenn Miller in there), and everything else for they party.
I think I'm probably going to go with the song "Pie In The Sky", which is the main theme for the (FANTASTIC!) movie "Waitress". It's just a really lovely, dreamy, hopeful instrumental piece. Slowed down to about 90% of the original speed, it's really soft and romantic.

I am actually walking down to a string version of "Here comes the bride" it doesn't sound like the normal version but it is amazing and I teared up when I heard it. :)
we are having are wedding at disney world i found the perfect song to walk down the isle i think Belle Notte from Lady and the tramp

now im thinking of this one lol i keep changing my mind
I'm walking down to "Your Song Instrumental" by Craig Armstrong. It's so fitting because not only is it a beautiful song, but our first dance is most likely going to be the "real" "Your Song" by Elton John. So it kind of ties it all together :)
I lovelovelove my song!

The first bit the parents and bridal party will walk out to. My walk will begin at 3:04.
I'm torn between St. Elmos fire love theme, and the Wedding Song by Kenny G
We are having a violin and cello play and right now I am tossing up between Ben Folds - The Luckiest (which will make me cry) or just to be different the Game of Thrones intro (which will make me grin).
We had Never let you go by Evermore, I love the lyrics and they rang true for us.
I'm still on the fence about a few songs for my bridal party but I am definitely walking down to "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars. FI says when he heard it, it was like the song was describing exactly how he felt about me. =)
I knew the songs I wanted to use before I knoew who and how many bridesmaids I would pick. LOL The wedding party will be walking to True Love sung by Elton John and Kiki Dee (Written by Cole Porter). And I will walk to You by Evanescence (Written by Amy Lee). I know they are different, but I really love both songs.

My dad and I are walking to Norah Jones' "Sunrise". I like how it's calming but still upbeat.
I'm walking to "Buon Giorno Principessa" from La Vita e Bella (Life is Beautiful) played by a string quartet:

Though lately, I'm tempted to walk to "Soul Bossa Nova" from Austin Powers, because how cool would that be? I'm having visions of hiring the local high school marching band, marching in outta nowhere...:

Okay, okay...I'm stick to the first choice. Tee hee ;)
I am walking down the aisle to 'Hoppipolla' by Sigur Ros
Gymnopedie No. 1, Erik Satie. It is beautiful and calm.... not a lot of drama.
@eehkay: me too! And the wedding party is walking down to Good Day Sunshine!
Our wedding will be just the two of us out in Vegas. We're going to use "Us and Them" an instumental version from Pink Floyd. I'm trying to convince Mr. M to use an instrumental version of Modest Mouse's "Float On" for when we're married and walking back up the aisle.
I think it's totally okay to switch up the music! Our bridal party walked down the aisle to the theme from Legends of the Fall and I walked down to a piano-only version of Coldplay's The Scientist.

I have a list of a few songs I am considering- I love Westlife- I want to grow old with you and also Beautiful in white (which is very fitting off course). I also love Train- Marry me, but we might use that as a first dance song…hmmm. We were considering Butterfly Kisses, which is also covered by guess who...(yes, Westlife). BUT, my dad passed away and this song makes me cry like a baby.
I want to play only one song for my bridesmaids and then for me, because we have a ridiculously short aisle, would that be okey?
