ive done it before. i just let it hang of the edge and it was fine. it did tend to roll up on each end, which was annoying so i did a tiny dot of hot glue and glued pennies to the underside to hold it down. it also kept if from blowing in the breeze
I've seen it done with wrapping paper, but not with wall paper. I would think that they're similar enough that it would work really well! As long as you have something (flowers, etc.) sitting on the paper to make sure it stays in place, I don't think you need to attach it to posterboard or anything. And I like that it hangs off the edge of the table a little.

I have bought a vintage wallpaper to use as table runners at the reception. However, I am not sure how to go about it..
We have round tables that seat 8 people. Can you use paper to drape over the edges of the table? Has anyone ever done this? How did you keep it in place? I was thinking of maybe pasting it to a thin poster board to make it more sturdy, but then it wouldn't drape over the ends of the tables..
Would it look funny if you cut it rounded to the table?
If anyone has any ideas or pictures, it would be appreciated! Thanks :)
