Are you sure those places sell veils? I have never heard of that.

Yes – they have veils.

Hobby Lobby also has veils.

I’ve never tried them – but they all look the same to me whether from a bridal shop or walmart… tulle!

They do sell them!  I always wondered why more people don’t buy them since, as PP mentioned, they’re tulle just like the ones in bridal shops.  They just don’t have fancy beading on them like the more expensive veils.  I don’t have a pic, but I remember someone started a thread recently saying she liked her Michael’s veil more than her expensive bridal shop one, lol!  I’ll try to find that thread and link it here for you… maybe she posted a pic?

We got the fabric from Walmart and the clip for a store like Michaels. It took my mom and I about 5 minutes to put together.

I wore a veil I bought at AC Moore. Probably the same thing sold at other craft stores. I thought it looked like any other plain veil out there. And even if you wanted fancier, use a coupon, buy it for like $8, and add lace or whatever else you thought was missing. Good luck! Oh, and PM me if you want photos.

Me me me!!  🙂  I got mine at Michael’s.  It was made by Wilton I think?  With the coupon that’s always in the circulars, it was less than $10.  It was double layered and had a finished edge.  I thought a lot of sewing was involved, but all I did was attach it to the comb that came with it (and it already had loops to attach it, so I likely could have skipped that).  I just put it under the shower to get the wrinkles out.  Same thing was around $200 at the place I got my dress (though my dress was only $400).  Sorry the photos are so big.
