I’m not sure what I think of my dress. I had ordered a bridesmaid dress from ybridal (ybridal and walzmart are the same company) and it turned out well and was cheap so I decided I’d use them for my wedding dress too. I was always fully aware that the dresses are knock offs and I know what is ordered will be an aproximation of what is in the picture. I only spent 200.00 including custom measurements and shipping and I don’t think I could have gotten that price in a bridal shop but I’m having a few regrets about this dress. I ordered it in ivory and it sure looks white to me. I emailed them about it and they have been responsive but I don’t really want to hassle with returning it. I’m not sure if I should try and sell it on a used wedding dress site and quickly try and get something else (wedding is Dec 29th) or if should just be happy with it. What do you think?
this was the picture on the site

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the colour, but the skirt just looks creased to me and not just crinkly like your inspiration pic. I’d be tempted to try to get the creases out of it as I think that would make it look better (it doesn’t look like it’s like that deliberately at the moment, if you see what I mean – just like it’s been screwed up in a suitcase or something)

It is a pretty dress! I really like the colour actually, and the sparkly appliques and the ruching on the bodice.
One thing though…is the fabric just really crinkly, or does the skirt need to be steamed? It is hard to tell.

@LilacViolet: The texture is on purpose and in person I don’t think it looks bad. I’m thinking of slightly altering is so it is gathered on the side as opposed to the front, which I think the original picture looks like.

In the pictures it looks like it’s badly wrinkled or like it’s suppoesd to be crushed velvet? Pics are forever, so think about that when you wear this.
