One of my best friends, and one of FIs best friends are both in our wedding party. They have met and know each other, and both seem interested in one another. In fact, we know FIs friend is as he has asked about her many times over the years. I think it would be awesome if they got together as they have A LOT in common, but they both seem a little too shy to initiate it. Soooo, we wouldn’t mind trying to play cupid and help thing along. 🙂 How can we do this without being so obvious????

@afelk1112: Easy, give them a job! Maybe ask the two of them, separately, to tastefully decorate your getaway car or hotel suite. That will make them communicate on their own, and give them some alone time during the reception!

Pair them up for the walk back up the aisle?
Seat them next to each other?
Have a “bridal party” dance at the wedding (or just have a song where you encourage the bridal party to dance with their partner)?
Not really sure what else you can do.
If you are having people help with favors maybe pair up by GM/BM pairing and have a competition to see who can finish the most the fastest (and do the best job)? I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a friends wedding who did this and it really opened up the communication between the Bridesmaid or Best Man and Groomsmen in question.

Yep, have them walk the aisle together. I put one of my Bridesmaid or Best Man with one of my Groomsmen that I thought would hit it off 🙂

Ha ha I am in a similar situation!
one of my best friends and my Fi’s room mate like each other, and I have wanted them to get together for a long time. the only hang up? she is like 3 linches taller than he is and doesn’t like it. She likes him just fine, just not his height. lol
I really hope to pump up the romance at our wedding and maybe inspire them to just be together.

We are already planning on pairing them up. The Bridesmaid or Best Man mentioned to me that she thought about asking the Groomsmen if he would like to throw a co-ed shower for us at his place. I don’t really care about having a shower, but I would LOVE for them to have something to get together for!
I guess I will start thinking of some special job they can do together, though I am a control freak and will have trouble giving up any tasks. Haha!
We were just hoping that we could get the sparks started before the wedding so they could enjoy eachother more at it. 🙂
