I have a natural curl in my hair. It’s not a tight curl; mostly lose, wavy curls. In the winter I would blow dry my hair straight, and my FI didn’t mind, but he loves my hair with the curls.
For our engagements next month (May) I wanted to leave my hair down and naturally curly for the pictures. However, I have found that my hair is limp, dry and doesn’t hold the curl well without lots of products in it. I hate the products and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get my hair a litle softer and how to keep curls in without tons of products.

Hosestly just a little mouse should be all you need. i put a bit in, scrucch the hell out of it, wait for it to dry and then style.

Do you know how to do curls on the outside of the curling iron barrel? I have naturally wavy/curly hair and what I do is apply some product (cream, mousse, gel, whatever) and let it air dry. Once it’s dry I go through and curl pieces outside the barrel for a looser beachy wave. This also gives more volume on top.

You can get soft waves by using a (rounded) flat iron to curl your hair instead of a curling iron.
