So how much is this job? LOL

Did I just see this website? A “shoe party” almost like a tupperware party but for shoes… so it could be a “job” Check it out, wow, what will they think of next?

I used to manage a shoe store, I have some tips for you.

The wedge may be more comfy, but not always more comfortable than a heel.

I always tell people to look for shoes where the part under the ball of your foot is flexible. This is key! Heels with a platform are all the rage right now, but most of them are very rigid and you need a shoe that will flex and move with your foot, not work against it. A little pad at the ball of the foot will help too, gel or foam ones work fine.

Vegas- your feet WILL swell. This happens from the heat and all the walking. Do not make sure they fit well but not too snug. Get a style with straps you can adjust if possible and try to get leather, it is more breathable than syntheics and patent.

I always buy some sheer medical tape (sticks better & not as obvious as band-aids) and bring it just in case – if my feet don’t need it, someone else’s will! haha The Dr. Scholls blister stick helps too but you have to apply it before you wear them and reapply later.

@Kings7911:  Neiman’s is having an extra 25% off clearance event right now; they’ve got Cole Haan’s (the Nike Air ones) on sale, and with the extra discount it puts them under $100.  Still more than you were looking to spend, but you’re talking about shoe you will wear much more often and will last you longer.

You’re gonna think I’m crazy, but these black wedges from Payless are the most comfortable things EVER.  I typically buy more expensive wedges/pumps that will last and not kill my feet.  I saw these recommended on a fashion blog and they are seriously great.

@BooRadley:  I agree ! payless wedges are great, but I’m a wedge fan.  Personally, I’m more comfy in wedges than sandles.

More slightly bolder Payless (black) Wedges – all priced right around $30

(for some reason it wouldn’t let me post a pic, so you’ll have to use the link)
