Ok at the risk of giving away a part of my identity hehe I recently found there is a type of mason jar that has his (soon to be our) last name on it. I kinda want to use them since its that convenient and I think it will be cute lol but how can I use them and not clash with my theme of victorian/steampunk? Is it possible?
Without going so far as to post a pic with the last name blatantly on there lol its a decent sized jar, somewhat tall.
The jar has a 12 inch circumference.
7 1/8 inch tall with lid on
6 3/4 inch tall without lid on
2 1/2 inch wide mouth
3 1/2 inch wide at the base
Got any ideas on how to use this and still fit the theme???

@Steampunk Angel: Yay! Glad I could help- I fell in love with the idea too! Here is another way of doing it (using vegetable oil)..
From the site:http://blog.myweddingreceptionideas.com/2010/09/5-quick-easy-fall-wedding-centerpieces.html
For a unique twist, turn your old canning jars into a picture perfect setting. All you need is a 4×6 photo cut to size, vegetable oil, and dried herbs (optional). Cut your photo and place in your jar. Fill to the top with vegetable oil. Add your dried herbs on the opposite side of your photo. Seal the lid tightly and you’re done! You will instantly have a picture perfect centerpiece that has a vintage and aged appeal. Images and tutorial courtesy of augandeverythingafter.blogspot.com and ali harper of etsy.com
