If that is your wedding date wait until the dresses you love go on sale at bhldn! Ive seen dresses marked down 50%. Also check out department stores. I scored a tadashi shoji dress for less than $500.
Also Jcrew around the holidays with a coupon. IT CAN BE DONE!
I was obsessed with BHLDN dresses too. But I couldn’t afford one. So I had a seamstress make me something similar:
Romantic wedding dress with a lace sweetheart neckline and a ruffled skirt. Shirred keyhole back. Hidden zipper and fully lined. Dress size is 2. Length from waist to hem 22″.
And now I’m selling the gorgeous thing! Check it out: http://www.weddingbee.com/classifieds/show-ad/?id=37423/#axzz2lRDPyU5M
Let me know if you’re interested.
A second vote for Tadashi Shoji. Couldn’t be happier with my dress and the price.
What’s so funny is I found a beautiful vintage dress at a shop today that I thought had a VERY BHLDN vibe, but I’m a size 14 and knew it wouldn’t fit me! It kind of reminded me of the Omelia gown.
Try vintage shops. You might be able to find the real thing instead of “inspired” !
By chance did you end up finding a BHLDN dress? Size 0 or 2? Let me know. Maybe I can buy it off you when you’re done?
Also check out Sue Wong, sold at a lot of department stores and usually priced at $250-$500.
Also check out the brand Alice + Olivia. They have some BHLDN-vibe dresses at that price point.
TJMaxx has some BHLDN and Nicole Miller dresses online right now.
