are you 100% sure it is white? sometimes ivory can look white. Where did you get the dress from?

My dress is Ivory & it does look pretty close to white. I think that’s a lot of the problem with ordering things. Even if it’s the same designer and dress; they still can come out a little different. That’s why I bought off the rack. I didn’t want to risk it being any different than the dress I fell in love with. If your very unhappy with it I would send it back and get a refund. That is false advertisement. Especially with the holes.

I was always a bit confused why brides are so picky about white vs. ivory.  My ivory dress looked…well, white!  I never bothered to coordinate the ring pillow, flower girl basket, or anything because I figured eh, it’s not like anyone will notice the difference!

Did you pay via paypal?  You can get a return from them if the item sold wasn’t as described (but you have to say that they clearly did not send the item that was for sale…paypal doesn’t guarantee the condition of the item, just its validity!  So don’t bother to mention the holes in the tulle to paypal, just the color…).

That’s such a bummer because I think I remember you being really excited about buying this on craigslist 🙁

Are you going to try to work with the dress and fix the holes or get a refund?

That’s funny.  The original dress looks white, and the Craig’s list dress looks ivory to me.  But I’m sure it’s the lighting.

I’m sorry.  I always dread when something like this happens.  I know you got a great deal, so I’d first suggest, taking a minute to try to look at it objectively.  It is the same dress, just in a slightly different color.  Try the dress back on.  Perhaps the white will end up looking better.  Ask for opinions.    From what you posted, I think you’ll look great in either color.

Have you posted the new white dress yet, or are both of those pics the ivory dress?

I agree with Tanya123. They look the exact opposite of the colors you said they were! 🙂 lol. They’re both beautiful, so I wouldn’t worry. In fact, I like the new one better! 🙂

Sometimes samples can be… well… sort of dingy, just because they’re hanging around for so long and being tried on over and over.  So while the ivory sample you tried on may have been darker, it might not have been because that was the true color of the fabric.

I’m sorry… I knew you were really excited for this dress too. Hopefully you can get a hold of the person and fix the color and the holes. Good Luck!!
