Weddingbee boards

I'd like to step down as Listkeeper. Well ok, I don't really want to, but I feel that someone else could probably stay more on top of the list than I have been able to lately. I don't think it's fair to you ladies for me to stay on as Listkeeper when I just haven't been as on top of it.

I've been so busy lately with my move to my new apartment, I've been having more arguments with my SO (I think it's due to the move), and I've just become more bitter lately about not being engaged yet. I didn't mean to get behind on the list (the last two lists were bi-weekly instead of weekly), but it just happened. Before I became Listkeeper I used to log onto this site again and again every Sunday to keep checking for the new list to come out. I'm sure there are others out there that do (or did) the same, so I want you to have that chance again.

I will have more time now that I am fully moved into my new apartment and I'm trying to spend more time away from my SO (to get him to miss me!), so if no one steps up or if anyone would like me to stay on as Listkeeper, I will do so and I will try and stay on top of the list weekly like I used to.

However, as of right now, I'm sure there is another bee out there who can do a better job than I. Previously, we all voted on a new Listkeeper based on submissions (but that wasn't me!). If you don't know, I randomly stepped up when the last Listkeeper went MIA. So even if you don't want to fill the position, please feel free to post your comments about whether or not you think we should vote or whatever.

To anyone who is thinking of becoming the new Listkeeper: please just realize that it is at least more work than I thought it would be. It's best for someone who is very active on the boards. On weeks when I do not keep on top of updating the List on my computer daily, I have to scroll through all posts throughout the last week and find all of the engagement posts. These aren't always obvious from the post title, so I have to click on almost all of the posts from that week. I cross reference the engaged screen names with the names on the Waiting List to remove them if on there. I copy the post link and write up each engagement blurb. I also check the Proposals section and do the same thing. I pull messages from my inbox to update the List as well. I copy the old engagement blurbs, delete the ones that are over two months old, add the new ones, and then have to link each new engagement blurb to it's bee's post. I add this to the new weekly waiting list and have my weekly post.

Hope to find a new Listkeeper! I know we all love the Waiting/Engaged List!

Well we can either have a "contest" where each bee that wants the shot at Listkeeper can write up a sample blurb and then we vote in a poll based off of the blurbs (which are anonymous), OR we can just vote off of screenname alone since most of you might know what you want based off of knowing that person (from their posts). So far it seems that you guys want to just straight up pick a person (since three of you have already voted for Tunacupcakes).
